✨ What is the Paschal Triduum?
The Paschal Triduum—Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday—marks the most solemn days of the Church year. It commemorates the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. This three-day liturgical journey begins with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Maundy Thursday, continues through the Veneration of the Cross on Good Friday, and culminates in the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, leading to the joy of Easter Sunday.

Today, we honor Saint Joseph—the faithful guardian of the Holy Family, the chaste spouse of Mary, and the foster father of Jesus. A man of silence, humility, and unwavering obedience to God, St. Joseph reminds us that true greatness is found in quiet service and steadfast love.

As the patron of the Universal Church, workers, and families, may his example inspire us to trust in God’s plan, protect what is entrusted to us, and live with integrity in our daily duties.

𝐃𝐁𝐓𝐈–𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐜 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧

March 13, 2026 – The Salesian Community, through the Pastoral Affairs Office of Don Bosco Technical Institute – Tarlac, organized a Lenten Recollection and Kumpisalang Bayan. The event began with the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Robert Paul “Bob” Zarate, SDB, with Fr. Edwin Ulanday, SDB, as concelebrant.

During the Mass, the Sacrament of Confession was made available, with Fr. Jojo Torres, SDB, Fr. Daniel Gonzales, SDB, and Fr. Rey Ranjo, SDB, serving as confessors. Following the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. Zarate proceeded with the recollection talk, guiding the faithful in reflection and spiritual renewal in line with the Lenten season.

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Lent is a special season in the Church that invites us to pause, reflect, and return to God with a renewed heart. In the midst of our busy lives, a recollection gives us the opportunity to step back, listen to God’s voice, and rediscover His presence through prayer, reflection, and the sacraments.

We warmly invite parents, LaMPs, Bosconians, members of the Salesian Family, and alumni to join us for this meaningful evening of prayer and reflection.

🕡 6:30 PM – Lenten Recollection

🙏 The recollection will be preached by Rev. Fr. Robert Paul Zarate, SDB, Catechist and Economer of the Seminaryo ng Don Bosco, Parañaque City.

Confessions will also be available during this time.

A recollection is a moment to slow down, examine our hearts, and open ourselves to God’s mercy. As we continue our Lenten journey, may this gathering help us renew our faith, strengthen our spirit, and prepare our hearts more deeply for the coming of Easter.

𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝; 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧

March 1, 2026 – Rev. Fr. Jose Isidro “Jojo” Torres, SDB officiated the Baptism into the Catholic Church of two young people—a Grade 11 student and a school alumna—at Sto. Cristo Parish Church at 10:00 AM.

Later that day, during the 4:30 PM Holy Mass with the DBYC Scholars, the newly baptized youth received their First Holy Communion. They were joined by seven other Bosconians from Grades 7 to 11 who also received the sacrament. Their parents were present to witness the celebration.

The Mass was likewise presided over by Fr. Jojo Torres, SDB.

🌿 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟓 | 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐬. 𝐋𝐮𝐢𝐠𝐢 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 🌿

Today, we honor the courage and missionary zeal of Luigi Versiglia and Callisto Caravario, Salesian missionaries who gave their lives for Christ in China in 1930.

Both saints were true sons of St. John Bosco. St. Luigi Versiglia was among the first Salesian missionaries sent to China, carrying the missionary dream of Don Bosco to the young and the poor. St. Callisto Caravario, formed in the Salesian spirit, followed that same path of joyful service, pastoral charity, and total dedication to souls.

They embodied Don Bosco’s Preventive System — loving kindness, reason, and religion — even to the point of martyrdom. When faced with danger while protecting young people entrusted to them, they chose courage over fear and fidelity over safety.

May their witness remind us that being Bosconian means loving the young wholeheartedly, serving with joy, and standing firm in faith — no matter the cost.

𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 | 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Following the celebration of Holy Mass, the Rite of the Burning of Palms was solemnly performed, led by Fr. Jose Isidro Torres, SDB.

This meaningful rite calls the faithful to repentance and renewal as we prepare to enter the sacred season of Lent.

Lent is a 40-day journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving — a time for reflection, conversion of heart, and drawing closer to God. The ashes from these blessed palms will be used on Ash Wednesday, reminding us that this season is not only about sacrifice, but about transformation.

As we begin our Lenten journey, may we embrace this grace-filled season with humble hearts, ready to renew our faith and deepen our love for God and one another. 🙏✨
