Happy Pentecost Sunday

Today, the Church celebrates the glorious feast of Pentecost—the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles like tongues of fire and filled them with courage, wisdom, and zeal. Pentecost is often called the “Birthday of the Church” because it marks the moment when the Apostles boldly went forth to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the world.

Before Pentecost, the disciples were afraid, hiding behind locked doors after the death and resurrection of Jesus. But when the Holy Spirit came upon them, everything changed. Fear became courage. Doubt became faith. Silence became proclamation. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, ordinary men became fearless witnesses of Christ.

That same Holy Spirit continues to move in our lives today. He strengthens us when we are weak, comforts us in sorrow, guides us in confusion, and renews our hearts when we grow weary in faith. Pentecost reminds us that we are never alone because God Himself dwells within us.

As we wear red on this sacred feast, we remember the fire of the Holy Spirit—the fire of divine love that purifies, transforms, and sends us on mission. The world today needs people filled not with hatred, pride, and division, but with the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

May this Pentecost renew our hearts and awaken our souls once again. Let us open ourselves to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead us closer to Christ. May He set our hearts on fire with holiness and give us the courage to live our Catholic faith boldly and faithfully.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. 🔥

OUR LADY OF FATIMA 🙏
MAY 13, 1917

Every 13th day of May, we commemorate (and celebrate as feast) the apparition of the Blessed Mother between May 13 - October 13, 1917 to the three Portuguese children, namely Jacinta and Francisco Marto and their cousin Lucia dos Santos where Mary asked the children to pray the rosary for world peace, for the end of the World War I, for sinners, and for the conversion of Russia. Mary gave the children three secrets. 🙏

ACT OF ENTRUSTMENT TO MARY 🙏

Blessed Virgin Mary of Fatima, with renewed gratitude for your motherly presence we join in the voice of all generations that call you blessed. We celebrate in you the great works of God, who never tires of lowering himself in mercy over humanity, afflicted by evil and wounded by sin, to heal and to save it.

Accept with the benevolence of a Mother this act of entrustment that we make in faith today, before this your image, beloved to us. We are certain that each one of us is precious in your eyes and that nothing in our hearts has estranged you. May we allow your sweet gaze to reach us and the perpetual warmth of your smile.

Guard our life with your embrace; bless and strengthen every desire for good; give new life and nourishment to faith; sustain and enlighten hope; awaken and animate charity; guide us all on the path to holiness.

Teach us your own special love for the little and the poor, for the excluded and the suffering, for sinners and the wounded of heart. Gather all people under you protection and give us all to your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus. Amen.

Today, the faithful joyfully celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima while also honoring the traditional Wednesday devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. Under these beloved Marian titles, the Blessed Virgin Mary continues to lead souls closer to Jesus through prayer, repentance, hope, and trust in God’s mercy.

At Fatima, Our Lady called the world to conversion, the daily Rosary, and peace. As Mother of Perpetual Help, she remains a refuge for the weary, a comfort to the suffering, and a guide for all who seek her maternal intercession. In every age, Mary points us toward her Son and reminds us that true peace is found only in Christ.

May this day strengthen our devotion to the Blessed Mother. May she protect our families, heal the brokenhearted, and intercede for the needs of the Church and the whole world.
