Many people shout and make different kinds of noise to express their passion or their cry of the heart. But there is one kind of noise that is pleasant to hear—not only to people but also to God. The Psalmist gives a clear command: “Make a joyful noise to the Lord.”

God truly deserves the praise of His people because of all the good things He has done. Therefore, we should offer Him the highest praise that belongs to Him alone. Let us do this joyfully, sincerely from our hearts, and with true gladness. As the Scripture says, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” When our hearts are filled with praise to God, it will overflow through our voices in shouting, singing, and making joyful noise that glorifies the Lord.

What's your next move?
Joshua 1:1-7

When we face difficulties, trials, or problems, we often begin to question God's sovereignty, His plan, and His Word. Sometimes, in these moments, we pause and rethink everything. But God is telling you right now to proceed and continue to trust Him. His plan, His sovereignty, and His promises never change. He is the same God yesterday, today, and forever. God can change your situation—if you will trust Him.

A Gift in a Bag

Most kids experience this: whenever their father comes home carrying a bag, he playfully teases them to guess what’s inside. The children eagerly wait, and when the father finally reveals the gift, whether toys or candies, their eyes light up with overwhelming joy.

How much more glorious is the appearance of Christ! Paul emphasized that when Jesus came, He brought salvation to the world, freedom to the captives of sin, light to those in darkness, hope to the hopeless, and life to those who were dead in their transgressions.

This is like a gift in a bag for those who receive Jesus. It is a joy not only for this lifetime but also for eternity in His presence.

Beware of the spirit of Complacency

For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
— 1 Corinthians 10:1-2

and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness.
— 1 Corinthians 10:4-5

Complacency is a spirit that can trap you in spiritual stagnation, breed pride, dull your awareness of dangers ahead, and even blind you to deficiencies in your ministry.”

Complacency is a dangerous comfort zone where past victories and achievements become idolatry, preventing us from stepping into new horizons for God’s glory.

Furthermore, it is also a spirit that holds you back from spiritual growth, learn new things, and developing new ideas for the advancement of the kingdom of God.

Do not fall into the enemy's trap, instead step into the greater advancement of God's kingdom, step into spiritual growth. Step out of the danger of complacency by moving forward in progress.

Flesh and Spirit: The battle within

For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
— Romans 8:5-8

Spiritual warfare is a term used to describe the battle between the flesh and the spirit that takes place within a believer’s walk with God. For a believer, it should not be a dilemma to decide whether to follow the flesh or the Spirit. The Bible is crystal clear on this matter: following the flesh leads to death, hostility toward God, and a life that does not please Him. On the other hand, choosing the Spirit, the right choice, brings life and peace with God.

You can conquer the flesh only by relying on the power of the Holy Spirit working in you. Scripture reminds us: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” Gal. 5:16. As you keep walking in the Spirit, you will become victorious within.

MAKE ME STRONG

Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
— James 1:3

Testing builds our spiritual muscle to withstand different trials. It enables us to go further despite hardship, of course with the help of God. The trials of faith are profitable to believers, instead of destroying us, they build us and make us stronger believers than before.

So whenever your faith is being tested remember that God allows it to keep you going, it adds spiritual stamina to win every battle. Therefore, instead of complaining it is better to thank God because He wants you to become strong in the faith.

THE NEVER-CHANGING GOD

Like a robe, you will roll them up,
like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same,
and your years will have no end.”
— Hebrews 1:12

It is impossible to rely on someone who changes their mind quickly, from one decision to another, or perhaps forgets what they promised. Trust would be broken, and you would be drawn into uncertainty.

This is why we can fully rely on God and His promises because God never fails to fulfill His promises. He is a God who never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We can depend on His word that in His time He will bring to reality.

“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.”
— Mark 1:1

Every story has a beginning. When you open a book, the first line often sets the tone, drawing you into the journey that lies ahead. Mark opens his Gospel with no buildup, no background stories, no long genealogies—he goes straight to the heart: “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.” It’s as if he wants us to lean in, to know that what follows is not just history, not just good advice, but good news that changes everything.

The word gospel means “good news.” But it’s not just any news—it’s the greatest news humanity could ever hear. In a world filled with brokenness, pain, and sin, Mark points us to hope: Jesus Christ. Not an idea, not a philosophy, not a system, but a Person. The gospel begins not with us trying to reach God, but with God reaching us through His Son.

As they were going along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”
— Luke 9:57

The best decision a man can make is to follow Jesus, but commitment is a different thing.

The man in this passage expressed his willingness to go with Christ, yet Jesus would later show that following Him requires more than words, it demands surrender, sacrifice, and a heart fully committed.

Following Jesus is not about convenience but commitment. It means trusting Him when the road is uncertain and obeying even when it’s hard. Still, this choice leads to the greatest reward: His presence, His peace, and His promise of eternal life. Unlike worldly choices that fade, this decision carries eternal weight and blessing.

Make your best decision now and follow Jesus.

ENTER HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.
— Psalm 100:4

The psalmist describes a powerful expression of gratitude—shouting joyfully, coming before Him with gladness, and singing with thanksgiving. This kind of joy flows when we have truly experienced how good God is: that His love never ends and His faithfulness continues through all generations.

In the Old Testament, the “gates” and “courts” referred to the entrance and inner areas of the temple, where God’s people gathered to meet Him. For us, this verse is a reminder that we must come into God’s presence with the right spirit—a heart filled with thanksgiving and praise. As His people, we are called to enter His gates acknowledging how much He has done for us.

We have so much to thank God for! If we were to write down just one week’s worth of blessings, the list would be overflowing. And as we count them, joy should rise up in our hearts, filling us with gratitude.

The psalmist also said: “Know that the Lord, He is God! He made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.” That means God cares for us. He provides our needs, leads us to green pastures, heals our sickness, and protects us from harm. If God has done all these things, doesn’t He deserve our thanks?

But thanksgiving is not just about listing blessings when everything is going right. It’s a daily choice to remember who God is and what He has done, even in hard times. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to what we already have in Christ. It turns our complaining into contentment, and our fears into faith.

When you have tasted the goodness of God and held on to His promises, you don’t need to be stirred up or reminded. Your heart is already full of gratitude, and praise flows from your lips. You come into His presence eagerly, with gladness, ready to bless His name.

So let us be a people who enter His gates with thanksgiving, filling this place with praise, honor, and glory to the Lord—for He alone is worthy!

BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
— Ephesians 3:20

When you plant a single seed and it grows, it doesn’t just bear one fruit—it produces far more than what you planted. That’s the way God designed it.

The same is true in our giving. When we give to God what belongs to Him, our tithes, and offerings—blessings begin to overflow. God opens the windows of heaven and pours out more than we could ever ask or imagine. His blessings aren’t limited; they’re abundant, overflowing, and more than enough. Your current “barn” wouldn’t be able to hold them all—it would overflow into every area of your life.

Many people see giving as losing something, but in God’s kingdom, giving is making room. It’s clearing space for God to do what only He can do—pour out blessings beyond our imagination. As Paul wrote in Philippians 4:19: “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” God’s supply isn’t according to what we have, but according to His riches, and His resources never run out.

Think about the boy in John 6 with just two fish and five loaves of bread. As long as they stayed in his hands, they were simply a small lunch. But the moment he gave them to Jesus, everything changed. Thousands were fed, and there were twelve baskets of leftovers! That’s what happens when we give it into God’s hands—He multiplies it far beyond what we expect.

What God is looking for is a heart that gives freely, obeys willingly, and honors Him joyfully. When you give with that kind of heart, you position yourself for a blessing you cannot measure.
