OUR FUTURE IS IN GOD’S HANDS
Everyone wants a good future.
We work hard, make plans, and chase our dreams because we all hope for a better tomorrow. But today’s message reminds us that the greatest future we could ever have is not found in success, wealth, or achievements. According to John 3:16, our ultimate good future is everlasting life through Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
God’s plans have always been bigger than what our eyes can see or our minds can imagine. As 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, He has prepared incredible things for those who love Him. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that His plans are always for our good, to give us hope and a future. That future ultimately points us to life with Him forever.
How do we walk toward that good future?
First, honor God by honoring those He has placed in your life. The Bible teaches that children who obey and honor their parents receive God’s promise of blessing and a long life. A good future begins with a heart that is willing to obey.
Second, build a family that serves the Lord. Like Joshua declared, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” A home that puts God first is built on a foundation that will last not only for this life but also for eternity.
Third, make the Word of God your final authority. Instead of allowing culture, feelings, or opinions to lead us, let Scripture shape our decisions, priorities, and lifestyle. Every act of obedience is an investment in the future God has prepared for us.
The world tells us to chase a better future. Jesus invites us to receive an eternal one.
May we choose to love God wholeheartedly, trust His plans, obey His Word, and lead our families closer to Him. Because the best future is not simply living a longer life on earth, but living forever in the presence of God.
The good future is in God alone.
