Ayon sa talang kasaysayan sa mga dokumento ng Archives of the Recollects in the Philippines, ang imahen ng Nuestra Seรฑora del Pilar ay dumating sa Pilipinas noong 1623 dala ni Reb. Padre Martin Lumbreras Sanchez Perez Peralta, OAR (o Blessed Martin de San Nicolรกs 1598-1632) mula sa Espaรฑa.

Our last destination was the The National Shrine and Parish of the Divine Mercy Philippines, Marilao, Bulacan.

Despite the heavy traffic and relentless rain, we were warmly welcomed by Bro. Vince, whose hospitality made us feel right at home. As we entered the shrine, a profound sense of peace embraced us. The silence of the sanctuary offered a much-needed moment of rest, inviting us to simply be still in the presence of the Lord.

After exploring the beautiful grounds, we shared a simple yet comforting meal of hot lugaw and tokwa't baboyโ€”a fitting end to a long day of pilgrimage.

As our pilgrimage came to an end, we reflected on its deeper meaning. As devotees of the Blessed Virgin Mary, every journey we make should ultimately lead us to her Son. Mary's mission has always been to bring us closer to Jesus.

In every church we visited, every story we heard, every person we met, and every challenge we encountered along the wayโ€”even the rainโ€”we were gently reminded of this truth: our destination is not merely a place, but a Person.

Jesus is our rest. Jesus is the Bread of Life who satisfies every hunger. Jesus is the Divine Mercy in whom we place all our trust.

May this pilgrimage continue to bear fruit in our lives, inspiring us to become faithful witnesses of Christ through the loving guidance of our Blessed Mother.

Jesus, I trust in You.

From Barasoain Church, we continued our pilgrimage to the Nuestro Seรฑor Jesucristo Parish - Diocesan Shrine of St. Andrew Kim Tae-gon in Lolomboy, Bulacan.

We were warmly welcomed by Kuya Bok and Ate Lisette, who introduced us to the life and inspiring witness of St. Andrew Kim Taegon, the first Korean priest and martyr. Their heartfelt sharing deepened our appreciation of his unwavering faith and courage.

To our pleasant surprise, as soon as we entered the parish church, we were greeted by a beautiful image of Nuestra Seรฑora del Pilar de Zaragozaโ€”a touching and unexpected sight that immediately made us feel at home.

After praying in the parish, we made our way to the Convent and Shrine of St. Andrew Kim Taegon, just a few blocks away. With its serene surroundings and distinctly Korean-inspired architecture, it truly felt as though we had been transported to Korea.

The Sisters warmly welcomed us into the shrine. One of the Filipino sisters shared the remarkable story of how St. Andrew Kim Taegon became connected to Lolomboy, and how this quiet community grew into a significant pilgrimage site, strengthening the spiritual bond between the Philippines and the Korean Catholic Church. A Korean sister also greeted us with her warm smile and lovingly handed us devotional estampitas.

The greatest blessing of our visit came when the first-class relic of St. Andrew Kim Taegon was brought out for our group to venerate. It was a deeply moving and grace-filled momentโ€”one that reminded us of the courage of the martyrs and the universality of the Catholic faith that unites believers across nations and cultures.

Truly, this was one of the most memorable and spiritually enriching stops of our pilgrimage.
