Combined Devotional Encourages Tanjay District Youth to Learn, Grow, and Serve

Youth and young adults from the Tanjay District gathered at the Tanjay Chapel on July 12 for a combined Seminary and Institute (S&I) Back-to-School Devotional and "Go and Serve" Missionary Fireside.

The first part of the event focused on preparing youth for the new school year through Seminary and Institute participation. District S&I Supervisor Sister Weng Pialago shared the importance of gospel learning, while Sister Kim Gaudiano and Chaime Cundiman presented an emotional resilience session addressing su***de awareness and the responsible use of gadgets to help strengthen mental and emotional well-being.

The second part featured a "Go and Serve" missionary devotional led by President Gaudiano, who shared experiences from his own missionary service and encouraged the youth, particularly young men holding the priesthood, not to delay preparing for and serving a full-time mission.

The combined devotional aimed to encourage enrollment in Seminary and Institute, strengthen emotional resilience, and help youth prepare spiritually, mentally, and emotionally for future full-time missionary service and lifelong discipleship.

Tanjay District President Ian Clark Gaudiano of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints paid a courtesy visit to Tanjay City Councilor Atty. Jim Gara yesterday at the New Tanjay City Government Center to discuss opportunities for collaboration in humanitarian initiatives.

During the visit, President Gaudiano and Atty. Gara shared their commitment to serving the community to improve the well-being of individuals and families. President Gaudiano shared the Church's humanitarian priorities, including emergency response, disaster preparedness, food security, healthcare systems, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and education support.

The discussion centered on how the Church and the local government can work together to identify community needs and develop initiatives that provide meaningful and lasting assistance.

Through humanitarian efforts guided by compassion and service as exemplified by the Savior, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints remains committed to working alongside local partners to bless lives and contribute to the welfare of communities.

𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞: 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints marked a significant milestone on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, as the newly organized Pamplona Group held its first sacrament meeting in a rented meetinghouse.

The gathering drew 51 attendees from both Pamplona and Tanjay 2nd Branch, celebrating both the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and a new chapter of Church growth in the area.

Pamplona, located about seven kilometers from Tanjay City, has long been home to members who previously traveled to attend services under the Tanjay 2nd Branch of the Tanjay Philippines District. Tanjay Branch conducted special sacrament meetings in Pamplona to accommodate members who faced difficulty traveling. These efforts laid the groundwork for the establishment of a more permanent worship setting in the community.

Tanjay 2nd President Ramel Canales said that through the combined efforts of the missionaries and members, he knows that Pamplona Group will soon become a branch.

As the group begins its journey, leaders look forward to continued growth and ultimately achieving the District's goal of stakehood.
