FIRST OFFICIAL MISSION TRIP TO MINDORO
Last April 16, 2026, we traveled from Tanauan City, Batangas, to Mindoro. Led by our Assistant Superintendent and Pastor, Rev. Arnel Espino, we arrived at Magbay Church that same evening. It was a long journey, but our excitement and joy kept us on our feet!
Immediately upon arrival, we conducted a music seminar to help improve the music teams of both Magbay and Magsikap churches. The following day, Friday, was packed with seminars covering Evangelism, Discipleship, Leadership, Prayer, and especially Church Growth. The brethren who attended were filled with eagerness to grow in their spiritual lives and their service to God. That night, we held our first Evangelistic Service with Bro. James Sullivan. The hunger for the Word was palpable as the people worshipped; it was truly a wonderful experience!
On Saturday, we began at 9:00 AM with a seminar on the Seven Dispensations. Despite the heat of the day, the fire in the hearts of the students burned even hotter! We reached the Fifth Dispensation before pausing to prepare for the evening’s Revival Service with Bro. John Vincent Villa. Though our bodies were weary, our souls were so "on fire" that we found the strength to dance, worship, and renew our commitments to God!
On Sunday morning, April 18, we held a joint Divine Service with the Magbay and Magsikap congregations. Pastor Arnel Espino delivered a message that deeply touched the hearts of everyone present. He reminded us to trust in God’s power and that miracles are often a process requiring complete adherence to His instructions. That day, we prayed for many people, and one soul decided to be baptized in the name of Jesus!
We witnessed several testimonies of healing:
Bro. Orlando: A diabetic who struggled to stand or walk due to non-healing wounds. We thank God that today, most of those wounds have disappeared and he is recovering in Jesus’ name!
Bro. Perlito: He suffered from prostate issues that prevented him from attending the Sunday service. We praise the Lord for the news that he is now pain-free and moving properly again.
Bro. Mark: We continue to lift up Bro. Mark in prayer, who was paralyzed from the neck down following an accident. We ask for continued prayers that God will move in his life.
On Tuesday, April 20, it was time to head home. We felt fulfilled, lives were changed and hearts were ignited. However, God wasn't finished. While on the ferry back to Batangas, we met Bro. Jay-r.
One of our sisters, Sis. Kaye, engaged him in a deep conversation. He shared that he was in great distress due to a condition that caused his hip joints to lose lubrication, making it nearly impossible to walk. We prayed for him right there on the ship.
Moments later, while we were all fellowshipping, Bro. Jay-r suddenly shouted and laughed! He had unconsciously moved his legs in a way he hadn't been able to in a long time. He stood upright, walked straight, and even started jumping! With tears of joy, he thanked God for the miracle. We were all praising God for letting us witness His power right before our eyes.
This mission trip was just the beginning. The power of God and His miracles are the same today as they were in the past. He is still moving! As long as we are willing to GO, God will be with us every step of the way!
