Genesis 1:26-28

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” 27 So God created mankind in his own image,in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙮𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨?

1.𝖬𝖺𝗂𝗇𝗍𝖺𝗂𝗇 𝖽𝖾𝖾𝗉 𝗋𝖾𝗅𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇𝗌𝗁𝗂𝗉 𝗍𝗈 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗌𝗈𝗎𝗋𝖼𝖾

John 15:5
Jesus said that apart from Him, we can do nothing.

Psalm 1:3
A person who delights in God’s Word is like a tree planted by streams of water, which “yields its fruit in season.”

Jeremiah 17:7–8
The person who trusts in the Lord is like a tree planted by water. Even when heat comes, it does not stop producing fruit.

Point:
If we want to be fruitful, we need to remain connected to the Source—God Himself. Just as a tree needs water to live and produce fruit, we need God in our lives. Our relationship with Him gives us the strength, nourishment, and direction we need to become fruitful.

2.𝖮𝖻𝖾𝗒 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝖧𝖾 𝗌𝖺𝗒𝗌

We are reminded to be doers of the Word and not hearers only.

Ephesians 3:17
Paul prayed that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith, showing the importance of allowing Christ to truly work within us.

Point:
Fruitfulness does not come from simply hearing God’s Word. We need to obey and apply what He says. Knowing God’s Word but not doing it will not produce the fruit He desires in our lives. Our obedience shows that we trust Him and allows His Word to transform the way we live.

3.𝖼𝗎𝗅𝗍𝗂𝗏𝖺𝗍𝖾 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝗌𝗉𝗂𝗋𝗂𝗍𝗎𝖺𝗅 𝗅𝗂𝖿𝖾

John 5:2
The passage gives the setting of the pool of Bethesda, where Jesus met a man who had been sick for many years.

Luke 13:6–9
Jesus gives the picture of a fig tree that was expected to produce fruit. The gardener continued to care for it and give it another opportunity to become fruitful.

John 15:16
Jesus said, “I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.”

John 15:8
Jesus said that His Father is glorified when we bear much fruit.

Point:
Fruitfulness requires cultivation and growth. We cannot expect spiritual fruit if we are not taking care of our spiritual life. We need to continually grow in God, remain in His presence, learn His Word, and allow Him to work in us. As we grow spiritually, our lives should begin to show lasting fruit.

John 15:5-8

5“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in Me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝘿𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙐𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝘽𝙚 𝙁𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙛𝙪𝙡?

1. Stay Connected with God
Psalm 1:1–3
To be fruitful, we must remain connected to God because He is the source of our strength and growth. Just like a tree needs a constant source of water to grow and bear fruit, we need to stay rooted in God.

a. spend Time in His Word, Prayer, and Worship

Colossians 3:16
We become more fruitful when we regularly spend time with God—reading and meditating on His Word, praying, and worshiping Him. As we fill our hearts with His Word, it shapes our thoughts, decisions, and actions.

Short Conclusion:
If we want to bear fruit, we must first stay connected to the One who gives us life. The closer we are to God, the more our lives can reflect Him.

2. Live a Life That Bears the Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Galatians 5:22–23
Being fruitful is not only about what we do for God but also about who we are becoming in Him. The Holy Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in our lives.

a. Reflect Christ’s Character

Ephesians 4:1–4
As followers of Christ, we are called to live in a way that is worthy of our calling. Our character, words, attitudes, and actions should reflect Jesus wherever we are.
