A Call to Be Lightbearers of God - Called to Shine in the Darkness
Dear Young Friends,
God has a high calling and a special work for you to do in this generation. You live in a time of great light and privilege, and the Lord expects much from those to whom much has been given.
You Are the Light - You are not called to live ordinary lives, but to be men and women of principle, standing firm in a world that is drifting away from truth and righteousness. God does not want you to be weak or indecisive; He wants you to be strong, brave, and true, ready to stand for Him regardless of the cost.
What is light bearer?
A light bearer is someone who carries and reflects the divine light of God into the world around them. They are vessels of His love, truth, and hope, illuminating the darkness in the lives of others. Light bearers don't generate their own light—they receive it from the Source and faithfully share it with everyone they encounter. Through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, and lives of integrity, they become beacons that guide others toward the eternal light. Every believer is called to this sacred purpose: to shine brightly and help others find their way to God's transforming presence.
Three Ways to Carry Divine Light
1. Beacons of Light and Truth
Carry light wherever you go. Show that you have strength of purpose and are not easily swayed by the persuasions of evil associates or the trends of the world. Do not yield to suggestions that dishonor God; instead, seek to reclaim and rescue souls from darkness.
Remember the examples of Joseph and Daniel. They valued the favor of God above the praise of princes, and because they were faithful, God honored them. They were not ashamed to display their true colors, even in the courts of kings. You must be like them—men and women who despise falsity and wickedness, who walk humbly with God, and who stand free from all impurity and contamination.
2. Your Work and Influence
Christ is calling for volunteers to enlist under His banner. The cry goes out: “Here am I; send me!” Do not hesitate to work for the Lord because you think you can do but little. Do your little with fidelity, for God will work with your efforts. One soul saved will bring joy to heaven and cause the work to multiply.
You are the arbiter of your own destiny. Your influence has power—power to lead others to Christ or power to lead them astray. Let your life be such that those who meet you are led closer to God. Aim high in your education and your aspirations, but let the fear of the Lord be the foundation of all your success. True religion does not hinder your progress; it refines, elevates, and fits you for the highest service.
3. The Conflict and the Victory
We are engaged in a warfare. Satan is a cunning foe, often disguised as an angel of light, seeking to deceive and destroy. But you do not fight alone. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
Through prayer and faith, you can overcome every temptation. Surrender your heart completely to Jesus. Allow Him to give you a new heart and a new spirit. Remember, you are not your own; you are bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body, mind, and spirit. Use your talents, not for selfish gain, but as channels through which God can pour His grace to bless humanity.
Conclusion
Higher than the highest human thought can reach is God’s ideal for you— God likeness. It is a path of continual progress. Step by step, looking unto Jesus, you can climb the heights of Christian experience.
Do not be satisfied with low standards. Be true to yourselves and true to your God. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. And may you so run this race that at the end, you may hear the Master say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
