𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧

The Santa Cruzan 2026 was held at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish in Jaclupan on Friday, May 29, 2026. Santa Cruzan is a beloved Catholic tradition that brings communities together in honoring Mama Mary while celebrating faith, devotion, and unity.
This celebration is more than a procession of crowns and gowns; it is a celebration of faith, devotion, and tradition that honors Mama Mary and the discovery of the Holy Cross.

The procession may have left participants exhausted, but their faith left them renewed.

Before the Santa Cruzan, preparations were already busy. In an interview with an altar server, he said that “everyone is busy because we each have our own responsibilities,” which reflects the shared effort of everyone involved in the celebration.
During the Santa Cruzan, people gathered as one community. The procession featured participants portraying various Reynas and angels, each symbolizing faith, virtue, and devotion. The participants gracefully portrayed their roles. The Reynas looked beautiful in their gowns, showing grace and devotion. The children dressed as angels looked very cute and added joy to the procession. The children who sang also served the Lord through music, making the celebration more meaningful and heartwarming.
In an interview with Eugilene Joy Paraiso, who portrayed Reyna Elena and led the procession carrying the cross, she shared that it was her first time portraying Reyna Elena. She said she was happy about the experience and that it was both tiring and worth it. Many participants shared the same thoughts during the interview, describing it as a memorable experience, tiring but worth it. After the procession, there were snacks and dinner, which added to the joy of the event.

The procession may have left participants exhausted, but their faith left them renewed, and Santa Cruzan shows that faith and devotion make every sacrifice worthwhile.

LOOK | FLORES DE MAYO YOUTH CATECHISTS’ ORIENTATION 2026

With grateful hearts, we successfully conducted a whole-day orientation for all Youth Catechists who will be serving in the upcoming Flores de Mayo celebration in their respective chapels.

This meaningful gathering aimed to guide and prepare our youth catechists regarding their important roles and responsibilities during the month-long Marian devotion. They were oriented on the proper flow of activities, prayer leadership, catechetical responsibilities, discipline, coordination with chapel leaders, and the overall purpose of Flores de Mayo as a beautiful expression of faith and love for our Blessed Mother, Mama Mary.

✨ Learning Through Demonstration ✨

As part of the program, a short demo presentation was also conducted to help the participants better understand what they need to do during the actual celebration. This practical demonstration gave them clearer guidance and boosted their confidence in leading activities in their own respective chapels.

The orientation was not only informative but also inspiring, reminding everyone that being a catechist is not just a responsibility, but a mission of service and faith.

AS ONE, we stand with Pope Leo XIV, whose life and mission remind us that true leadership is rooted in dialogue, humility, and the sincere pursuit of unity. In a time where voices of division are strong, we are challenged to stand firm; not in anger, but in compassion; not in hostility, but in truth and charity.

Because we are His peace.
And we are sent by Him.

The Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish – PYCC Jaclupan formally presents its official delegates for the Regional Youth Day 2026 to be held in Calbayog.

Ms. Michelle Juros Zozobrado, Youth Coordinator, and Mr. Christ John Moralde, Assistant Youth Coordinator, have been duly selected to represent Metro Cebu South District 2 in this significant gathering of the youth.

As part of the delegation from the Archdiocese of Cebu, they carry with them the trust and responsibility of our parish community. Their participation reflects not only personal commitment but also the collective mission of PYCC Jaclupan in fostering faith, leadership, and service among the youth.

May this opportunity further deepen their spiritual growth, strengthen their sense of mission, and inspire them to continue serving the Church and the community with integrity and dedication.
