When we choose to love through ministering, we become the hands of the Savior.” – Elder Gerrit W. Gong

This afternoon, we rejoiced with the Bacus couple as they received their endowment and sealing. Their radiant smiles, the peace, and the joy they felt during the ordinance made them forget every struggle they had endured.

They once lost their home completely to a typhoon. Sis. Bacus faced repeated hospital visits due to her age, while Bro. Bacus overcame the challenge of leaving ci******es to be worthy of temple blessings. Yet through it all, they remained humble, faithful, and determined to follow the Savior.

We also honor and appreciate the brothers and sisters who stood by them those who ministered, prayed, and helped them through their trials. Your love and service became part of their eternal blessings.

Today, their sealing as husband and wife for eternity is a testimony that when we stay true to our covenants, the Lord transforms every hardship into eternal joy. And when we choose to love through ministering, we help each other reach the temple and the Savior’s promised peace.

Last Friday was a truly memorable experience for our youth.

We began the day at the temple, where many of them participated in proxy baptisms for the very first time. It was inspiring to see the joy, peace, and reverence they felt as they entered the House of the Lord and took part in sacred ordinances. Their smiles and testimonies reflected the promise that the temple is a place where heaven feels closer.

Afterward, we traveled to our campsite and spent the night together. Through spiritual activities, cooking challenges, life-skills training, and meaningful fellowship, our youth learned, grew, and strengthened friendships. The evening concluded with a wonderful bonfire, where they shared their talents, laughter, and testimonies under the stars. It was a night filled with faith, unity, and unforgettable memories.

President Russell M. Nelson taught:

"Nothing will strengthen your spiritual foundation like temple service and temple worship."

As we watched these young men and young women draw closer to the Savior, we witnessed the truth of his words.

📖 “And now, my beloved brethren, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation.” — Helaman 5:12

We are grateful for these precious moments that help our youth build their lives upon Jesus Christ and prepare to become lifelong disciples of Him. ❤️

“Come unto Christ.”

What a wonderful day spent in the House of the Lord. We are grateful for the faith, friendship, and spiritual growth experienced during our Youth Temple Trip. May we always remember the peace and joy found in the temple. 🤍✨

Last Sunday, we joyfully witnessed the baptism of Reyana Sebes as she took this important step in following the example of Jesus Christ. At just 8 years old, Reyana demonstrated her faith and commitment to Heavenly Father through the covenant of baptism.

This special occasion was made even more meaningful by the presence of her loving family, the Primary Presidency, members of the Bishopric, fellow ward members, and her friends from Primary who came to support and celebrate with her.

We are grateful for the light, faith, and happiness that filled this memorable day. May Reyana continue to grow in the gospel, feel the guidance of the Holy Ghost, and always remember the promises she made with Heavenly Father.

"And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light" — Mosiah 18:8

Congratulations, Reyana! We love you and are proud of you! 🎉

What a beautiful and sacred afternoon witnessing a temple marriage a moment filled with peace, joy, and eternal hope.

As the prophets have taught, ‘The temple is the gate to eternal families.’ President Russell M. Nelson reminded us, ‘The highest level of happiness in this life and in eternity is found in a temple marriage.’

The Lord declared, ‘And if ye abide in my covenant… it shall be of full force when they are out of the world’ (Doctrine & Covenants 132:19). Truly, being sealed in the temple allows families to continue forever.

We felt great joy spending time with the newlyweds, sharing smiles, taking photos, and enjoying a simple lunch together. The happiness, love, and light in their faces reminded us that eternal marriage is one of God’s greatest gifts.

Congratulations to the beautiful couple! May your home always be filled with faith, love, and the Spirit.

Holiday ➡️ Holy Day

The Lawaan 2nd Ward – Talisay Stake Primary went on a temple trip to the Cebu Philippines Temple. Little footsteps of faith were taken, seeds of testimony were planted, and hearts were touched by the Spirit as children learned of the sacred promises and covenants we make with the Lord. Truly, “little children shall lead them” (Doctrine & Covenants 109:73).

We are grateful for these precious children and the sacred memories made together.
