Our ward temple trip yesterday was a day overflowing with the Lord’s tender mercies. Serving together in the house of the Lord strengthened our faith, renewed our covenants, and reminded us how powerfully the Savior can transform a willing heart. To see returning members those we once ministered to with patience and love, now dressed in white, receiving sacred ordinances, was a sacred witness of changed lives. Truly, ‘If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.’ — 2 Corinthians 5:17.

After being spiritually filled in the temple, we were also lovingly fed by the delicious food prepared by our dear ward members. That simple act of service lifted our spirits and deepened our unity. Fellowship became a blessing, and every shared meal felt like another expression of Christlike love.

Today, our hearts were touched again as some of our returning members courageously stood and bore their testimonies simple, humble, and sincere. Their words carried the spirit of conversion, gratitude, and newfound strength. Their testimonies reminded us that the gospel works miracles the moment we allow it to enter and reshape our lives.

President Russell M. Nelson taught:
‘The temple is the place where we can find peace that transcends all understanding.

And truly, last Saturday we felt heaven close.
We witnessed changed hearts, renewed covenants, strengthened families, and a ward united in the love of our Savior. May we continue to walk His path, serve in His house, and let Him write His story of transformation in each of us

When Typhoon Tino shook our community, many of our dear members felt fear, exhaustion, heartache, and questions.
Some had homes that were damaged…
Others had homes that were washed away…
And many felt unsure how to start again.
Yet inside the Lord’s house, something beautiful happened.
We prayed together.
We cried together.
We strengthened each other.
We laughed in our games, we shared food, and we shared faith.
And slowly… light began to return.
During our ward Family Home Evening,
some evacuees stood and shared their testimonies
testimonies filled with humility, tears, and gratitude.
They expressed how thankful they were that they listened to their leaders and chose to evacuate to the church.
Their obedience protected them.
Their faith preserved them.
Their courage inspired all of us.
President Russell M. Nelson lovingly taught:
“There is no storm so strong that the Lord cannot calm it. There is no problem so great He cannot solve it.”
In those tender moments inside the chapel, we felt the covenant we made with God come alive.
As Alma taught in Mosiah 18:9, we are commanded:
“To mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort.”
Though the storm took much, it could not take our faith.
It could not take our unity.
It could not take our hope in Jesus Christ.
the One who turns broken pieces into new beginnings.
To every family who is hurting, to every heart struggling to rise:
Your tears are seen. Your courage is sacred. Your faith is powerful.
And because you are anchored to Christ,
you will rise—stronger, braver, and never the same again.
🌧️ The storm may have shaken us,
🌤️ but Christ will lift us.
❤️ And together, we will rise again.

Today, our youth stepped into eternity not just for themselves, but for those who have gone before. In the quiet reverence of the temple, they performed baptisms for the dead, unlocking salvation for souls who cannot do it for themselves. This sacred work binds generations and blesses these young warriors with strength, purpose, and divine favor. As President Russell M. Nelson taught, 'Anytime you do anything that helps anyone on either side of the veil to make and keep their covenants with God, you are helping to gather Israel.

Our youth bright, energetic, full of love stood in for their ancestors, offering blessing upon blessing through service. Afterwards, we celebrated their faith filled efforts with dinner at Jollibee where they laughed, delighted in each other’s company, and truly embodied the motto: “Bida ang Saya!” The smiles said it all service and joy together.

May the Lord continue to bless each of these young hearts as they engage in His work. May they always remember that in acts of service especially temple work they are part of something eternal, something that touches lives beyond the veil. Their willingness to give of themselves is beautiful in His sight.

Here’s to many more sacred moments of service, followed by well deserved laughter and joy!

This is how we close the week, with purpose and love.
Ministering to our brothers and sisters is more than a duty, it’s a sacred opportunity to show Christlike love and remind them of their worth in the kingdom of God here on earth.

Each visit became a moment of learning. Every home we entered, every smile that greeted us, lifted our spirits and erased our fatigue. Their stories especially those who struggle to attend church for various reasons touched our hearts and reminded us why we serve. To love as the Savior would.

Though Sunday is often seen as a day of rest after a long week, going out to minister brought a deeper kind of rest a spiritual renewal that recharged our souls far more than sleep ever could. It’s in these quiet, humble homes that we felt heaven close, and our strength restored.

Last night, we held our Family Home Evening at the Pellegrini family's home — a gathering filled with love, laughter, and gospel-centered moments that deepened our connection.

It was their first time hosting Family Home Evening in their home. Sister Saharalta had become less active in the ward for some time, but through the Lord’s guidance, she returned to church and began realigning her life with the Savior’s will. She is now committed to keeping her sacred covenants with Him. Her husband, Brother Litoy, is not yet a member of the Church, but he joined the Family Home Evening, listened joyfully to the messages, and enthusiastically participated in the games. Brother Litoy came to church this morning with his wife, Sister Saharalta. He showed genuine interest in learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ. They were warmly welcomed by the members of the church, and a smile on his face reflected a sense of growing connection with everyone. The missionaries already have an appointment scheduled with him to share the gospel.

Last Thursday, we had a wonderful Family Home Evening hosted by the Quiambao family. The one in the green T-shirt is Brother Felipe, one of our investigators who is scheduled to be baptized at the end of the month. He played against our Elders Quorum President, Brother Erick. The ones in gray shirts playing against each other were Brother and Sister Cabañog, who are among our recent converts in the church.

We conducted this FHE to introduce and promote this inspired program that helps strengthen families against Satan’s efforts to destroy each family. Family Home Evening is highly effective in keeping relationships within the family vibrant and strong. The Cabañog family had a great time, and Brother Felipe, along with some of our members, truly enjoyed the evening.
