The Sampaguita Vestment Ensemble:

A meaningful tribute for the 10th Fiesta celebration of Virgen delas Flores, symbolizing a decade of faith and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Inspired by the delicate beauty of the sampaguita flower, the ensemble reflects purity, humility, and unwavering faith, virtues closely associated with the Blessed Virgin.

Inspired by the Filipino tradition of Flores de Mayo, the ensemble honors the Blessed Virgin through floral symbolism, reflecting offerings of love, prayer, and deep Marian devotion celebrated during the month of May. It embodies the rich Filipino culture of faith, beauty, and reverence for Mary.

The green cape symbolizes hope, renewal, and spiritual growth, representing the community’s enduring faith and blessings throughout the years. Meanwhile, the white center signifies purity, peace, holiness, and the loving grace of the Blessed Virgin Mary, echoing the sampaguita’s gentle beauty and sacred symbolism.

The design is further enriched by the presence of twelve stars, inspired by the biblical imagery in the Book of Revelation, where the woman clothed with the sun wears a crown of twelve stars, often associated in Catholic tradition with the Blessed Virgin Mary.

As an ode to the Blessed Virgin, the ensemble embodies devotion, gratitude, and the strong connection between faith, Filipino culture, the tradition of Flores de Mayo, and the joyful spirit of the fiesta.
