"Many are called but few are chosen." This is the word that can we heared especially young people calling to serve the church. And these young people prove to take their answer to God's call to renew their service to the altar.
Last weekend, June 27 and 28, Oldphyte members of Confraternity of Augustinian Recollect Altar Servers of San Nicolas De Tolentino Parish, spends their weekend with formation, team building and renewal of vows.
Their weekend starts with formation and team building in the Morning. As the formation led by Fray Ray Jay Quevedo as resource speaker, the formation centers on the importance of renewed service and reflection of their long time commitment to be an altar server. Members shared their grateful experiences as olphyte members of CARAS. In the Afternoon, A fun boodle fight for lunch and fun games to get know each other.
On the following day, Sunday, 22 Oldphytes renewed their vows in front of the altar. Their renewal took place on the 8:00 am eucharistic celebration under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Jose Ernil F. Almayo, OAR as the mass presider. The renewal centers on the spiritual growth among youth, devotion, and revence in the spiritual service.
As altar servers, may continue to inspire, devoted to serve and more youth answer to God's call to serve on the altar with reverence. May this renewal marks the significance of spiritual service in the community.
