A blessed first Sunday of Advent, dear Youthmates! We prepare our hearts and minds for the anniversary of our Lordโs birth during the Advent season. It also marks the beginning of the Churchโs new liturgical year.
On the first Sunday of Advent, we light up the first candle (purple), which symbolizes hope. It stands for the expectation felt in anticipation of the coming Messiah.
