The Divine Mercy Apostolate โ€“ Diocese of Tagum gathered for the 24-Hour Sacrifice Day held on March 21โ€“22, 2026 at San Isidro Labrador Parish, Aguinaldo, Laak, Davao de Oro.

This spiritual gathering included a Recollection led by Rev. Fr. Edwin D. Casa, Divine Mercy Diocesan Director, who guided the participants in deepening their trust and devotion to the Divine Mercy.

We were also blessed by the inspiring talk of Rev. Fr. Darius Joseph T. Abuela, Parish Priest of SILP-Aguinaldo, who shared meaningful reflections that strengthened the faith and commitment of the devotees.

May this 24-hour prayer and sacrifice continue to renew our hearts and inspire us to live the message of Divine Mercy in our daily lives.

Jesus, I trust in You. ๐Ÿ™

PASSIONTIDE BEGINS TOMORROW!

As we enter this sacred time, the Church invites us to journey more deeply into the Passion of Jesus Christ. Passiontide, the final stretch of Lent, shifts our focus intensely toward His suffering, sacrifice, and boundless love for humanity.

During these days, everything becomes more solemn. Traditionally, images in churches are veiled, symbolizing the hidden glory of Christ as He approaches His hour. The liturgy grows quieter, more reflectiveโ€”drawing us into prayer, penance, and contemplation of the Cross.

This is not merely a remembrance of past events, but a call to personal conversion. Christโ€™s Passion reveals the depth of Godโ€™s mercy and the seriousness of sin. It asks each of us: How do I respond to this love? Are we willing to walk with Himโ€”not only in moments of joy, but also in sacrifice and surrender?

Passiontide is also a time to draw close to the Blessed Virgin Mary, especially through her sorrowful heart. She stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross, sharing in her Sonโ€™s suffering with unwavering love. Through her intercession, we learn how to remain faithful even in the darkest moments.

Let these days be marked by deeper prayer, silence, fasting, and acts of charity. Step away from distractions, reflect on the Passion narratives, and if possible, participate in devotions like the Stations of the Cross.

๐Ÿ™ May this Passiontide not pass us by unnoticed, but transform our heartsโ€”so that when Easter comes, we may truly rejoice in the victory of Christ.

In the quiet and simplicity of his life, St. Joseph reveals a powerful witness of faith. Chosen to be the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the guardian of Jesus, he embraced his mission with courage, even when faced with uncertainty and trials. Without seeking recognition, he fulfilled Godโ€™s will with humility, trust, and unwavering love.

Through his example, we are reminded that holiness is often found in the ordinary momentsโ€”when we choose to listen, to trust, and to remain faithful in our responsibilities each day. The Church continues to invite us to โ€œGo to Josephโ€ (Ite ad Ioseph), to seek his guidance and to follow his example of silent strength and steadfast faith.

As the faithful gathered in celebration, the Fiesta Mass at GKK San Jose, Km. 15, under Our Lady of the Assumption Parish โ€“ Asuncion, was presided over by ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ. ๐—™๐—ฟ. ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—š. ๐—•๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ด, Assistant Parish Priest, leading the community in prayer and thanksgiving in honor of St. Joseph.

Another Basic Orientation Seminar (BOS) on the Divine Mercy was successfully conducted on March 14, 2026 at San Vicente Ferrer Parish, Maragusan, Davao de Oro.

The seminar was facilitated by Maโ€™am Florencia C. Calamba and her team, who generously shared their time and dedication in spreading the message and devotion to the Divine Mercy.

We thank the parish community for their warm welcome and active participation. May this formation continue to inspire more faithful to trust in Godโ€™s infinite mercy and to live the message of Divine Mercy in their daily lives.

In reference to the earlier Public Advisory released by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tagum regarding individuals seen soliciting donations at the Tagum Overland Transport Integrated Terminal, our page administrators have since had the opportunity to receive communication from the individuals appearing in the circulating photos.

According to their statement, they clarified the following:

โ€ข They are not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tagum.โ€ข They are not priests of the Catholic Church, nor are they claiming or pretending to be priests of the Church.

In light of this clarification, the Diocese wishes to acknowledge their communication and to correct any possible misunderstanding that they were presenting themselves as priests of the Catholic Church.

Nevertheless, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tagum reiterates to the faithful and to the general public that the Diocese has not authorized any form of public solicitation in terminals, streets, or similar areas under the name of the Catholic Church.

We continue to encourage everyone to exercise prudence and discernment when approached for donations by individuals claiming religious affiliation. Official Church-related fundraising or charitable activities are always coordinated through parishes or formally announced by the Diocese.

The Diocese thanks everyone for their vigilance and for helping maintain transparency and integrity in matters concerning the Church.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

God bless.
