Sometimes the biggest obstacle between us and what God wants to do in our lives is not our weaknessโ€”it is our pride.

Naaman was powerful, respected, and successful. But beneath the armor of a great commander was a man who desperately needed healing. When the prophet Elisha instructed him to wash seven times in the Jordan River, Naaman became angry. The answer seemed too simple, too ordinary, and perhaps too humbling for someone of his position.

He almost walked away from his miracle because it did not come the way he expected.

But when Naaman finally humbled himself and obeyed, everything changed. He went down into the Jordan carrying his pride and came out with his flesh restored.

Sometimes we do the same. We ask God for answers, but reject them when they challenge our ego. We pray for change, yet resist the humility, forgiveness, surrender, or obedience that change requires.

Pride asks, โ€œWhy should I?โ€
Faith asks, โ€œLord, what would You have me do?โ€

Your title, achievements, influence, and reputation cannot replace a surrendered heart. Sometimes God's answer is simpleโ€”not because it is insignificant, but because He wants us to trust Him more than ourselves.

"So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean."
โ€” 2 Kings 5:14 (NKJV)

๐Ÿ‘‰ Swipe through each slide and discover how humility opened the door Naaman's pride almost kept closed.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Is there something God has been asking you to do that your pride keeps resisting? Maybe it is apologizing first, forgiving someone, admitting you were wrong, asking for help, or simply obeying when you don't understand. What would change in your life if you finally surrendered that part of your ego to God?

If someone came to your mind while reading this, share this post with themโ€”not to correct them, but to remind them that sometimes our greatest breakthrough begins with humility.

emphasizing that ordination is not an achievement but a commitment to God.

The ceremony recognized the ministersโ€™ dedication to serving God and His people through faithful ministry. It also highlighted the responsibility that comes with being entrusted with Godโ€™s work. Through the solemn rites, the ordinands were reminded that their calling requires humility, faithfulness, and a willing heart to serve.

Moreover, Elder Danielo Palomares, SePUM President, shared a message from Ezekiel 34, which speaks about irresponsible shepherds and the serious responsibility of caring for Godโ€™s people. He emphasized that being ordained is not a promotion but an empowerment to serve with greater commitment and accountability. The following ministers were ordained during the ceremony:

The ordination marks a new chapter in their ministry as they continue to serve God and His people with greater dedication. Moving forward, they are entrusted to use their calling not for recognition, but to faithfully lead, serve, and empower others for Godโ€™s mission.

LIVE! | Ministerial Ordination Rites โ€“ August 20, 2026

Join us for this solemn and joyful occasion as we witness the Ministerial Ordination Rites, a special service of dedication, commitment, and recognition of God's calling to ministry.

Today, we gather as a church family to celebrate this important milestone in the lives of those who have been called to serve the Lord and His people. Through prayer, the laying on of hands, the proclamation of God's Word, and the presence of the church community, may this sacred ceremony remind us of the privilege and responsibility of serving Christ.

May God continue to guide, strengthen, and empower His servants as they faithfully carry out the Gospel mission. Let us pray that their ministry will bring hope to the weary, truth to those seeking guidance, and many souls closer to Jesus Christ and His soon return.

๐Ÿ“– Verse of the Day:
โ€œAnd I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.โ€

Tonight, give God what you can't fix.

Some things are simply beyond your controlโ€”the decisions of others, unanswered questions, uncertain tomorrows, and situations you wish you could change. You were never meant to carry all of them through the night.

Before you sleep, place them in God's hands. The problem may still be there tomorrow, but tonight you can rest knowing that it is no longer yours to carry alone. God is still present, still faithful, and still working even when you cannot see what He is doing.

You don't need all the answers before you close your eyes. Sometimes faith is simply saying, โ€œLord, I can't fix this, but I trust You with it.โ€

"Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." โ€” 1 Peter 5:7

You can be right and still be unkind.

Being correct doesn't give us permission to be cruel. We can speak the truth, defend what is right, and stand firmly for what we believeโ€”but if our words leave someone wounded, we may have won the argument while losing the opportunity to reflect Christ.

Jesus never separated truth from love. Before correcting someone, ask yourself: Am I trying to help this person, or am I simply trying to prove that I'm right?

Truth matters. But so does the way we deliver it. Let our words be honest without being harsh, firm without being disrespectful, and truthful while still carrying the character of Christ.

"Speaking the truth in love..." โ€” Ephesians 4:15

Choose truth. Choose kindness. We need both.
