Today, delegates from different areas officially arrived and completed their attendance as we warmly welcomed everyone to the Parish Youth Camp. Seeing the youth gather with excitement, smiles, and hearts ready to serve made the first day truly meaningful.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗗

Today, the Church contemplates the glorious Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, not as a departure, but as the fulfillment of His saving mission and the promise of our own hope in Him.

As Christ ascends to the right hand of the Father, He entrusts His disciples with the mission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. The Ascension reminds us that while the Lord is no longer seen in the flesh, He remains ever present in His Church, guiding us through the Holy Spirit and sending us forth as witnesses of faith, hope, and love.

“Why are you standing there looking at the sky?” (Acts 1:11)

The Lord calls us not to remain still, but to continue His mission here on earth, bringing His light to the poor, the forgotten, and the wounded through lives rooted in prayer, communion, and service.

May this Solemnity renew in us the courage to become missionary disciples, living with our hearts fixed on heaven while faithfully serving God’s people on earth.

𝟲𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬

Today, on World Communications Sunday, the Church invites us to reflect on the beautiful and sacred gift of communication, a mission that goes beyond cameras, microphones, articles, and social media posts. At its heart, communication is about encounter. It is about bringing people closer to one another and ultimately closer to Christ.

In his message to communicators, Pope Leo calls us to preserve the human voice and the human face in communication. In this age of rapid technology and endless digital noise, the Holy Father reminds us never to lose the heart of genuine human encounter, where truth is spoken with charity, stories are told with compassion, and every person is treated with dignity.

Together with the Diocese of Tagum Social Communications Ministry (DiTaSCoM), we honor and give thanks to all communicators across our parishes and communities who quietly and faithfully serve the Church. Behind every captured moment, every livestream, every written story, and every shared message is a servant willing to use his or her gifts for evangelization.

Your ministry is more than media work.
It is a vocation of presence.
A mission of listening.
A ministry of making Christ seen and heard in today’s world.

May we never forget that beyond every screen is a human soul longing for hope, truth, and love. May our communication always become a bridge that unites, heals, and inspires.

As one Church, may we continue to use every platform and every talent not for ourselves, but so that the voice of the Good Shepherd may reach even those in the farthest and quietest corners of the world.
