It is with hearts filled with profound sadness, disbelief, and pain that we announce the passing of our dear Ptr. Junel Nel Alcaide .
It is difficult to accept that someone so young, so full of life, and with so much promise has been called home so soon.
Ptr. Junel was a young pastor who graduated only last year and had just begun his journey in the ministry. Just this June, he started serving and shepherding the congregations of UCCP Magdug, UCCP Jamboree, and UCCP Bita-og. He had only begun this new chapter of his calling, yet he already showed us the kind of pastor he was becomingโenergetic, lively, passionate, approachable, and full of potential to become an effective and faithful servant of God.
We looked forward to seeing his ministry grow. We looked forward to the many lives he would touch, the sermons he would preach, the communities he would serve, and the many more years he would dedicate to God's work.
That is why his passing is such a painful shock.
We thought the ailment he was facing was only minor. We never imagined that complications would eventually take his life. Sometimes, life changes in ways we never expect, leaving us with questions, tears, and a deep sense of loss.
Yet even in our grief, we hold on to the promise that ๐๐ค๐'๐จ ๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐จ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ ๐ค๐ช๐ง๐จ, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐จ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐ง๐๐ข๐๐๐ฃ๐จ ๐จ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ ๐ข๐ค๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐.
Ptr. Junel's ministry may have been brief, but it was meaningful. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐๐ต ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ'๐ ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐ต ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ'๐ ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐. In the short time he served, he brought energy, joy, faith, and hope to the people entrusted to his care.
To the congregations of
๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ , ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐-๐จ๐ we share in your grief. You had only just welcomed your pastor, and now you are being asked to say goodbye. May the memories of his presence among you become a lasting reminder of his dedication and love for the ministry.
To the ๐๐น๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐น๐, our deepest condolences and prayers. We cannot imagine the pain of losing a beloved son, brother, family member, and servant of God at such a young age. May the Lord embrace you with His comfort, strengthen you when the grief feels unbearable, and remind you that you do not walk through this sorrow alone.
Ptr. Junel, your journey in ministry here on earth may have been shorter than we imagined, but we believe that ๐ฎ๐ค๐ช๐ง ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐จ ๐ฃ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐.You have left footprints in the lives of the people you served, and your memory will continue to inspire us to serve God with the same joy, passion, and energy that you shared.
