A joyful and meaningful celebration of Flores de Mayo together with our dedicated catechists and the active participation of the children from GKK SLR.

Thank you to everyone who shared their time, faith, and devotion in honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary. May this celebration continue to inspire love, unity, and strong faith within our community.

Gipahigayon sa mga kabatan-onan sa San Lorenzo Ruiz Magdum ang maong Census sa mga kaubanang miyembro. Kini subay sa usa sa mga plano sa mga opisyales sa DYA aron mahimamat ug madasig ang mga kabatan-onan nga magpakabana ug mamahimong aktibo sa mga kalihukan sa simbahan.

Mamahimo nga dasigon nato atong mga kabatan-onan nga mag apil sa maong kalihukan kay kini usa sa mga lakang nga gitudlo sa atong Ginoo kanato.

Daghang Salamat ug dalaygon ang Dios sa kanunay!

Ang maong meeting nahimong malampuson, mabungahon, ug mabulahanon tungod sa grasya, kaayo, kalooy, ug pag-giya sa Ginoo.

𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 | 𝙈𝙖𝙮 1, 2026

𝑭𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒅𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐 is a Filipino Catholic tradition held every May where people, especially children, offer flowers to the Virgin Mary. It’s like a month-long celebration showing love and respect to Mary through prayers, songs, and small processions.

Flores de Mayo matters in Catholic culture because Mary is viewed as a caring mother. Honoring her helps people feel closer to God and unites communities through shared faith and celebration.

For children, joining can feel exciting and meaningful. They dress up, join the procession, and enjoy being part of a special event. It also helps them learn values like respect, faith, and community, while making fun memories with family and neighbors.

The gospel calls us to be mindful of how we treat others. To welcome, to serve, and to act with sincerity is, in a deeper sense, to honor something sacred beyond ourselves.

It is a reminder that everyday actions—simple gestures of acceptance, kindness, and loyalty—carry a meaning far greater than we often realize.

Nagtipon ang mga kabatan-onan aron hisgutan ang mga importanteng butang ingon man pagplano alang sa umaabot nga Summer Youth Camp 2026. Kini malampusong gihigayon sa GKK San Lorenzo Ruiz.

Usa kini ka lakang sa pagpalig-on sa panaghiusa, pagtuo, ug pagpangandam sa mas makabuluhang kalihokan alang sa kabatan-onan.

Our Lady of Assumption Quasi Parish - Merville - Diocese of Tagum

“Love Renewed in Faith: A Valentine’s Day Celebration of Enduring Marriages”

Today, February 14, 2026 at 8:00 in the morning, love was beautifully renewed at Our Lady of Assumption Quasi Parish as married couples gathered to reaffirm the sacred promises they made before God. In a heartfelt ceremony solemnized by Rev. Fr. Antonio G. Llanes, at least 53 couples stood side by side, witnessing once again the grace and strength of matrimonial commitment. The celebration served as a powerful reminder that when love is centered on faith, it continues to flourish through the years.

Among the couples present was one truly remarkable pair celebrating 54 years of faithful and enduring marriage—a beautiful testament to lasting love. Their journey reflects patience, sacrifice, forgiveness, and unwavering devotion. Through seasons of joy and trials, they have remained steadfast in their vows, inspiring younger generations to cherish and protect the sacred bond of matrimony.

Following the meaningful ceremony, the couples gathered for a fellowship lunch at Sinagoga Hall, where laughter, stories, and shared memories filled the room. The gathering strengthened not only marital bonds but also the sense of community within the parish. Indeed, the day was not just a renewal of promises, but a joyful celebration of love lived faithfully and wholeheartedly.

Our Lady of Assumption Quasi Parish - Merville - Diocese of Tagum

The Lenten Season is a sacred time of preparation, calling us to pause, reflect, and return to God with sincere hearts. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, we are reminded of our human frailty and our need for conversion. Through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, Lent invites us to let go of what weighs us down and to grow in humility, compassion, and deeper faith.

As Lent reaches its fullness in the Paschal Triduum, we walk closely with Christ through His suffering, death, and resurrection. This journey leads us from the silence of the cross to the joy of Easter morning, where hope is renewed and life triumphs over death. Lent is not only a season of sacrifice, but a path toward transformation and new life in the risen Lord.

Kung mobati ka nga gikapoy, nasamokan, o murag walay klarong padulngan, hinumdumi nga ang kaluwasan sa Ginoo dili layo. Siya naglihok bisan wala nato makita. Ihangad ang imong ulo, ipataas ang imong paglaum, ug ipadayon ang pagsalig, kay ang Ginoo mao ang tubag sa atong mga pag-ampo ug kusog sa atong kada adlaw.
