DEAR WORSHIP LEADERS,

Here are few tips for you. :)

👉1. MEMORIZE THE LYRICS AHEAD OF TIME.

Make sure napakinggan mo na sa buong linggo bago ka sumalang sa practice.

If alam mo ang key mo, communicate sa instrumentalists ahead of time if original key ang gagamitin mo or gusto mong babaan kasi medyo mataas para sayo.

Alamin mo din ang background ng song and if this is related to your pastor's preaching para mas madaling ma-emphasize ang word for that day.

Also, check related Bible passages that will help you better understand the meaning of the song.

Hangga't maaari, kabisaduhin mo at huwag mag-rely sa kopya ng lyrics kapag nasa harapan.

👉2. At kapag magli-line up, DON'T CHOOSE COMPLICATED SONGS.

Make sure na kaya mong kantahin at kayang kantahin ng congregation.

Mahirap kapag ikaw lang ang kumakanta at ang iba ay di nakakasabay.

Remember, God wants His people to be in one accord.

Kaya kahit maganda ang song pero complicated para sa congregation at di kaya ng music team, don't hesitate to choose a different one na easy lang and kayang sabayan ng lahat.

👉3. PREPARE YOURSELF SPIRITUALLY.

Fast at least once a week lalo na if ikaw ang magli-lead.

This will help you become spirit-filled at hindi lang "vocal ready."

Make sure you have devotions at puno ang heart mo ng praises and thanksgiving.

Do what God is telling you to do – John 5:19

Worship in private. Read great books on worship.

Finally, lead with the authority that has been given to you.

Know that you have been given the responsibility to lead people to Jesus, so lead confidently knowing you’ve been given the opportunity and you've been entrusted by your pastors.

Remember, continue learning and...
..BE A LIFELONG STUDENT OF WORSHIP! 🔥

Ministry is a privilege ---pero hindi ibig sabihin pwede nang mag-"feeling privileged" ang sino man sa'ting nasa ministry. Having a position, influence or responsibility is never an excuse for anyone to be arrogant! The truth is, kaya ng Diyos palitan ang kahit sino at kaya Niyang maglagay ng kahit sino para punan ang bakante.

The Bible is full of stories proving this truth. God is able to raise David, an ordinary shepherd boy, to replace Saul, the disobedient king. Si Saul ay magaling na military and political leader pero hindi nito napigil ang Diyos na palitan siya. The same way, ang mga ordinaryong tao sa baba ng lipunan ang tinawag ni Jesus to be His disciples, hindi ang mga hypocrite religious leaders of that time. Maaring mga educated, influential, at skilled sila, making them good candidates of being God's messengers, yet Christ chose the humble and teachable, regardless kung ano mang kakulangan ang mayroon sila. Indeed, God can replace and raise anyone for His purpose. At kung ikaw ay nasa paglilingkod, this truth should teach you to be humble.

Kapatid, kahit gaano ka kagaling ---pwede kang palitan.

Walang obligasyon ang Diyos na panatilihin ang sino man sa taas. Wala ring utang na loob ang Diyos sa kahit sino man sa'tin. God can replace you and me if needed, kaya huwag masyadong pakampante. Kahit gaano man ka-effective at successful ang isang ministry, it will not change the fact na pinagkatiwala lang ito sa'tin, si Lord pa rin ang nagmamay-ari nito. (Kaya paalala lang, huwag kayong magalit sakin: hindi talaga iyo ang ministry na hawak mo.) And as ministers, we are accountable to the Lord, kaya pati ang attitudes natin ay dapat na nasa tama habang tayo ay nasa paglilingkod.

Regardless kung ano mang paglilingkod ang mayroon ka, ginagawa mo man 'yan sa loob ng church o sa labas, may nakakakita man o wala, marami mang naaabot ng ginagawa mo o kakaunti lang, pino-post mo man sa social media o hindi, you are expected to do it for the Lord. As it was said, "whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Cor 10:31). Sa bawat paglilingkod, ang glory ay dapat kay Lord lang mapunta. God knows our motives, alam din Niya kung nangunguha na ang kahit sino sa'tin ng glory for ourselves. It is a requirement to everyone in the ministry to constantly evaluate our hearts. Pride remains Satan's most effective tool para pabagsakin ang mga lingkod ng Diyos. Pride always goes before fall (Prov 16:18). At kung mayroon nang pagmamataas, we can expect God to do what He has to do, dahil dinidisiplina ng Diyos ang kanyang minamahal (Prov 3:12).

Philippians 2: 9-11

In what way you can see the hand of a Master patiently shaping your life to put His name on you?

What is He doing today to remind you that you're His child?
