From the archives of February 24!
Our MBMG Tagum Chapter sisters were among the faithful who gathered at the Carmen Municipal Gym for the SIDE by CiDE Seminar on Good Governance, a meaningful event that brought together parishes across Diocese of Tagum in solidarity and shared mission.
This initiative was the Church's response to the call of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines to honor the enduring spirit of the EDSA People Power Revolution — a historic testament to what prayer, unity, and moral courage can accomplish for a nation.
More than a commemoration, it was a formation, a reminder that authentic change begins with formed consciences, active citizenship, and leaders anchored in truth, justice, and accountability.
Our sisters were part of a rich day of reflection guided by the insightful talks of Fr. Carmelo Diola and Fr. Renato Repole, SJ, who spoke on servant leadership, ethical public service, and the Christian duty to engage in nation-building. The gathering was graced by the presence of Most Rev. Medil S. Aseo, together with clergy, lay coordinators, and volunteers from across the Vicariate.
The open forum and the "Conversation with the Spirit" opened space for honest dialogue and communal discernment and the day was beautifully grounded in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, reminding us that our call to good governance is ultimately rooted in God.
This is what MBMG stands for — women who don't just stay within the Church walls, but step into the public square as witnesses of faith, integrity, and love of country.
Proud of our sisters who showed up and engaged!
"For God and for Country."
