𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁?
Sometimes we feel like it's hard to follow Jesus because He interferes with our plans.
‎
‎We want Christianity that is inspiring but not demanding.
One that has blessings but no sacrifice.
‎
‎One that has “God is good” but no “deny yourself.”
But that is not the discipleship that Jesus called for.
‎
‎He said in Luke 9:23, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow Me.” Jesus did not say, “Follow Me when it is convenient.”
‎
‎His invitation is really death to self. That is why discipleship is inconvenient because it clashes with our flesh.
‎
‎Sometimes the inconvenience itself is His process to teach us to choose Him over ourselves.

Let us walk through 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘆: 𝗔 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 for our Sermon Series this June 2026.
