“Change is Inevitable”

The only sure thing in life is “change.” One day may be stressful, and the next day, unexpected joy. Today may be dark and gloomy, but tomorrow the sun shines bright. Yesterday brought devastating news, but today a shimmer of hope. Nothing stays the same forever, except for God. Like it or not, change is inevitable. But sometimes we are too quick to force change. In today’s society, it’s all about instant gratification. If you’re unhappy with your looks, Botox can fix it. Lonely? A dating app will take care of that. In a financial bind? No problem–just charge the credit card! Want to change your image? Photoshop covers up flaws and imperfections, and thanks to social media, people's perceptions are easily manipulated. Within minutes, your “truth” becomes fake by giving a false impression of reality. But it’s dangerous to change who God intended you to be. Don’t attend a “comparison party,” always measuring your success based on the lives of others. Live the life God has planned for you. When trials come and the road gets rough, pray for God’s strength and guidance. It may not always be His will to deliver you from your circumstances. It’s important to live the life you are given and trust God to give you everything you need to walk that journey.

If you’ve been praying and praying for deliverance and nothing seems to be changing, perhaps you should change what you are praying for. Instead of asking God to change your situation, ask for courage and strength to make it through. Pray for more faith to believe that God knows what He is doing. God has a specific plan for your life, and sometimes He allows you to go through dark valleys that you may never understand. But you can always trust that God knows what is best, and you will never go through the darkness alone! The Bible says in Deuteronomy 31:8, “He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Text: Psalm 143:8, Isaiah 43:19, Hebrews 11:8-10, Jeremiah 29:11

A life with Jesus doesn’t guarantee a trouble-free journey, but you can rest assured that through it all, He will fill you with a peace that surpasses all understanding—a peace that no one can fathom. No matter what you face, He is with you. So take a deep breath, rest, and trust in Him.

Happy Sabbath! 🤍

God’s love for us is demonstrated in countless ways—the very breath we take, the life we enjoy, the blessings we receive, the homes and families we return to, our friends, our successes, and so much more. His love surrounds us in ways too numerous to count.

Jesus said in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” This verse teaches us that true love is sacrificial. When Jesus gave His life, He gave everything to save us.

Yet, in our daily lives, we often make more mistakes than we do good. As humans, we tend to focus on the negative more easily than the positive. Many times, we find ourselves asking: “Am I even worthy to receive all these blessings when I have broken God’s heart so many times?” or “Am I still worthy of love?”

If you’re asking those questions today, the answer is simple: Yes, you are loved!

You are God’s greatest possession (1 Peter 2:9), a child of God (1 John 3:1), and deeply cherished (Isaiah 43:4). No matter your past mistakes, His love for you remains unwavering.

Many times, we think that having a close relationship with Jesus gives us the privilege of easily receiving what we desire—because we pray every day, read the Bible daily, go to church every Sabbath, or serve in ministry.

Yet, in our hardest moments, we often ask the Lord:

“Until when will I suffer?”
“Until when will I get the answer to my prayers?”
“Until when will I wait for your will?”
“Until when will I feel disheartened?”

And the questions go on and on. In Psalms 13:1-2, King David asked similar questions, “until when?”.

But if we pause and reflect on what this season of life is teaching us, we will find two key lessons: patience and faith. The only amount of faith we need is as small as a mustard seed, trusting that Jesus will work all things out in His perfect time.

So, wait patiently on Him—the One who created you and whose love is being perfected in you.

"The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him." — Lamentations 3:25

Happy Preparation Day! ❤️‍🩹
