Ate Gwyn recalls her journey throughout the school year. She narrated that the past months were a montage of stress, drama, and tears. Due to these hardships, she came to the point where her prayer time and her communication with the Lord were sacrificed. Nevertheless, she overcame all of these. The weekly gathering was one way for her to destress, and later on, she reconnected with the Lord. She stated that we should not be complaining about the stress we encounter at school, but instead, we should be thankful that we are given the education we need.

We should be reminded that the hardships we meet along the road will make us appreciate the prize we will get at the end of the tunnel. We have to sow our efforts in order to harvest our achievements after.

Upon starting his talk, Kuya Gerald uttered a short yet powerful line. He said that we should not think that the world has stopped just because we are quarantined. We should be reminded that God is very much alive and we are experiencing it through the people around us. He gave us parents who feeds us whenever we are hungry and our brothers and sisters in the community that looks after us as an example.

He also affirmed that God is doing three things to us. He HEARS, LISTENS, and FEELS. And all of these are rooted to our prayers, our communication to Him. He encouraged us to pray, not only for our safety but also for others.

Ending his talk, Kuya Gerald also reminded us to be productive at home. The first is by praying and second, is by being better. That we can improve our skills at home.

This talk is full of reminders for us to be positive, grateful, and be productive. By praying or making small efforts we make God alive in our hearts. God is alive in us.

Kuya Fernillian started the event with his prologue. He reminded us that being stucked at home is a blessing for we have roofs above our heads. He reminded us that we can do a lot of things at home. First, he said that this is the time to reconnect with our families for we have spent so little time with them for the past months. He also pointed out that this is also the time to keep the fire burning. To not lose hope and pray. Lastly, he stated that this is also the time to be grateful to the Lord, to our family, and also to the frontliners.

Our beloved Tito Eking formally opened the High School Homecoming event with his address. He thanked the events team, and the participants for their presence. He highlighted that this is extraordinary for this is their first time to hold such big event online.

Indeed, this is a historical event. The quarantine cannot stop us from experiencing Christ through one another. Padayon sa misyon!

Before leading us for today's opening worship, Kuya James shared the story of Timothy. He stated that even though he was raised without a father, he did not feel that his life was incomplete. That something was lacking. He later related it in today's situation, where we are in the middle of battling a pandemic. He reminded us to be grateful in this crazy time. To feel that we are blessed and to let others feel it too.

Throw all your frowns and be excited for a reunion! The Enhanced Community Quarantine can't stop us from experiencing Christ through our brothers and sisters. Today, May 2, 2020, is the day of our awaited High School Homecoming with our mobile phones and computers, let us participate in our upcoming High School Homecoming via Zoom and Facebook Live.

Approach your ate's and kuya's today for Zoom participants are only limited to 150. However, the gathering will be aired via Facebook Live for everyone to be engaged.

It is never too late to invite our friends within and outside the community to be with us. Spread the word and let us experience Christ together. Approach your ate's and kuya's today. See you in our High School Homecoming via Zoom and Facebook live!
