LOOK | AIIAS Professor visits Cuambugan SDA Church

Members of the Cuambugan Seventh-day Adventist Church were greatly blessed by the recent visit of Pr. Youssry Guirguis, a professor from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies. Pr. Guirguis currently serves in the Theological Seminary of AIIAS, where he teaches and mentors future church leaders and pastors.

During the worship service, Pr. Guirguis delivered an inspiring message centered on understanding and appreciating the differences among church members. He emphasized that while believers come from different backgrounds, cultures, personalities, and experiences, these differences should not divide the church but rather strengthen its unity in Christ. He encouraged the congregation to practice love, patience, and mutual respect as they work together in God's mission.

The brethren expressed gratitude for the timely message, which reminded everyone that the church is a family united by faith despite individual differences. The visitation concluded with renewed commitment among the members to foster harmony, understanding, and Christ-like love within the church community.

LOOK | Early Sabbath Blessing

On the morning of March 21, 2026, during the Global Youth Day Celebration, the youth of Cuambugan Church turned the Sabbath into a living testimony of God’s love by distributing breakfast food packs at the Davao Regional Medical Center Watchers Lounge.

The Sabbath becomes more meaningful when it is shared through acts of kindness.
Instead of keeping the Sabbath as a passive day of rest, the youth chose to make it active in love—just like Jesus did. In the Gospels, Christ showed that helping others, especially those who are tired, worried, or in need, is always appropriate on the Sabbath.

By giving food to watchers—people caring for their loved ones in the hospital—the youth demonstrated compassion, empathy, and selflessness.
