Davao Philippines Temple Dedication

Tagum Philippines Stake reverently gathered this morning, May 3, 2026, at the Tagum Stake Center to witness the historic dedication of the Davao Philippines Temple, joining in a solemn occasion marking a meaningful milestone for the Saints across Mindanao. Though distant from the temple grounds, they came together in faith and unity to take part in the dedication through a live broadcast.

The dedication was presided over by Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, as members listened intently to the proceedings and dedicatory prayer. This moment answered long-awaited hopes for a house of the Lord in Mindanaoโ€”the first temple on the islandโ€”bringing blessings closer to countless faithful members in the region and reaffirming temples as places of covenant and eternal promise. Even without being physically present, the Spirit was deeply felt among those gathered, as hearts were united in peace, gratitude, and renewed commitment to their covenants.

This shared experience stands as a witness that sacred gatherings transcend distance, and that faith allows all to partake in holy moments wherever they may be. As the dedication concluded, voices and hearts were lifted as one in a joyful and sacred declaration: โ€œHosanna! Hosanna! to God and the Lamb.โ€

Last Sunday, February 28, 2026, our Youth and Young Single Adults gathered together to watch President Dallin H. Oaksโ€™ broadcast across the globe. The event inspired and afforded everyone to manifest the value of gratefulness and for the opportunity to come in faith with the Spirit and receive counsel from a living prophet himself. These sacred and remarkable moments have made us feel the love of our Heavenly Father and reminded us of His undying presence and the strength we find in unity that come from our act of fellowship and kindness as we all learn and grow together in Christ. ๐Ÿ’›โœจ
