Biographical Sketch of the late
Rev. Supt. Ephraim “Boy” Allen– Agupita

He was born on July 4, 1961 at Saugon, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. The youngest son of the late Rev. Gervacio Balbas- Agupita and Rev. Dominica Allen- Agupita. He has only one older sister Rev. Charita A. Encarnado. He graduated his Elementary at Lianga, Surigao del Sur in 1973. His secondary education at Butuan City Colleges of Butuan City in 1979. He answered his Pastoral calling and graduated his Bachelor in Theology in 1984 at Light and Life Bible College. He was married to Rowena Cocon on December 23, 1983 before his graduation.
Their first assignment was in Paco FMC for a year, then moved to Tagum City for FMC pioneering work with the Rev. Jeremias Palero, Sr. and 8 months later, he was transferred to Davao City to pioneer Matina FMC and Pastor the church from 1988-2000. He became the first District superintendent in Davao District and served for six years. April 22, 2002 they moved back to Butuan City and planted RTR FMC. There have been years that he served as Zone 2 Supervisor and lately from 2021– 2023, he became the 8th Superintendent of Northern Mindanao Conference who got 2/3 votes from the delegation of 32nd Annual Conference of NMC, that would last his term to 2025.
A father of 3 wonderful children; Careen Gade, Mark Acer and Bethany and got two children in-laws Pastor Ace Carcueva and Mitchelle dela Cruz– Agupita. A grandfather of five grandchildren; Twinkle, Shan, Marky, Zian and Ella.
A servant of God who died on duty last November 20, 2022 at 8:36 in the evening at the Intensive Care Unit of MJ Santos Hospital of Butuan City. He was not able to finish his term to 2025, yet, he fought the good stature of a servanthood leadership. He always keep this line,” Faithfulness matters in the service of the King.”
He remains in the service of the King until this King called him home at the age of 61.
