“The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16

The Holy Spirit gives us strength when we have none. He helps us praise when we are exhausted, pray when we feel drained, and draw close to God even when our flesh resists. The Holy Spirit gently but powerfully pushes us to keep going, to remain faithful, and to continue walking with God, no matter how weary we feel. Through His Spirit, we are given a living hope that sustains us, carrying us forward even on the hardest days.

When we walk by the Spirit, we experience freedom, purpose, and peace. We don’t rely on our own strength; He carries us through. If He has brought us this far, He can do it again. The same God who has always been faithful will never leave us now.

Trust Him. Follow Him. Let His Spirit lead.

Nabasa mo na ba ang book of John?

Ang Book of John ay isinulat para ipakita kung sino talaga si Jesus hindi lang bilang Teacher o Miracle Worker.

“These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God…”
(John 20:31)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)

Hindi na pinatagal, Jesus is God mula umpisa pa lang.

The 7 Signs sa Book of John

Pinili ni John ang 7 miracles na tinawag niyang signs:
1. Water into wine
2. Healing ng official’s son
3. Healing sa Bethesda
4. Feeding the 5,000
5. Walking on water
6. Healing ng man born blind
7. Raising of Lazarus

Hindi lang ito miracles, revelations ito kung sino si Jesus.

The 7 “I AM” Statements

Dito rin makikita ang famous “I AM” statements:
• I am the Bread of Life
• I am the Light of the World
• I am the Door
• I am the Good Shepherd
• I am the Resurrection and the Life
• I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life
• I am the True Vine

Direct itong konektado sa Yahweh ng Old Testament (Exodus 3:14).

Bakit mahalaga ang Book of John?
• Malinaw para sa new believers
• Malalim para sa mature Christians
• Solid foundation para sa Christology
• Pang-evangelism at pang-discipleship

Kung gusto mong ipaliwanag kung bakit si Jesus ay hindi lang mabuting tao kundi Diyos, the book of John ang basahin mo.

📖 Knowing the Truth Means Responding to Jesus

Acts 2:38
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Salvation is not based on tradition or emotion, but on obedience to God’s revealed truth. Knowing the truth is not only about understanding who Jesus is - it is about responding to who He is.

If you believe that Jesus is the Word made flesh, God manifested in the flesh, and the only Savior, then the next step is a personal response of faith.

✝️ Baptism Must Be Done in Jesus’ Name

Colossians 3:17 says,
“Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Baptism is a deed; therefore, it should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus.

🔥 The Biblical Pattern (Acts 2)

In Acts 2:37–38, after the people heard Peter’s message, they were cut to the heart and asked, “What shall we do?”
Peter answered: “Repent and be baptized…”

📌 Acts 2:41 adds:
“Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added that day.”

This shows a clear pattern:
➡️ Hearing
➡️ Understanding
➡️ Believing
➡️ Repenting
➡️ Being baptized

Listening leads to self-reflection.
Self-reflection leads to humility.
Humility leads to obedience.
Obedience leads to God’s promise.

This biblical pattern shows that infant baptism is not the way of salvation, because belief must come first.

Jesus said in Mark 16:16:
“He who believes and is baptized will be saved.”

Belief requires hearing and understanding.

💧 Born of Water and Spirit

Jesus said in John 3:3,
“No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

When Nicodemus was confused, Jesus explained in John 3:5:
“No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”

Faith and obedience go together. In Scripture, baptism follows faith immediately - without delay.

🤍 An Open Invitation

This invitation is for everyone.

If you are willing to humble yourself, seek the truth, and obey God’s Word, He promises:
✔ Forgiveness
✔ New life
✔ The gift of the Holy Spirit

Salvation is not found in religion, but in knowing Jesus and responding to Him in faith and obedience.

"The Truth About Jesus: He Is God”

This aims to show that knowing the truth means knowing Jesus, because Jesus is God manifested in the flesh and the only means of salvation.

John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” If we truly believe what is written in the Bible, then we must also believe what this verse plainly states. The Word is God Himself. Through God, the heavens were made, and every wonder of this world. John 1:3 “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made.”

John 1:14 says, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” The only One who came in the flesh to save humanity is Jesus, after the first humans failed to obey God. These verses connect to tell us that the Word was God, and the Word became flesh, saying that the God who created the heavens and the earth is Jesus. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. Now, you might ask why God had to be in the flesh and dwell with the sinful people.

The disobedience of the first humans brought sin, and sin brought separation from God. In the old days, as described in Leviticus 16, there was an annual Day of Atonement when the high priest entered the Most Holy Place and offered sacrifices for himself and the people to cover the sins of the entire nation of Israel. Blood represented life, and life had to be given to cover sin. Leviticus 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls.” But it did not remove the sins, but only covered them temporarily, which had to be repeated every year.

Hebrews 9:22 "In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." A blood sacrifice is required to cleanse humanity from sin.

Hebrews 10:3-4 "But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins."

It takes the blood of the perfect lamb to free us from the bo***ge of sins. A flesh had to dwell among us to be the mediator between God and humanity so that sin could be fully dealt with once and for all. Hebrews 10:10 “We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Only God in the flesh could provide a once-for-all sacrifice

This truth was not revealed suddenly in the New Testament; it was foretold from the very beginning.

In my previous journal, I wrote about Genesis 3:15, when God spoke to the serpent after Adam and Eve sinned: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” This shows the conflict between the serpent’s seed and the woman’s seed. The bruising of the heel points to Satan striking the Messiah, while the crushing of the serpent’s head shows that the Messiah would ultimately defeat evil. This verse, known as the Protoevangelium, is the first announcement of God’s plan to send a Savior. Both the Old and New Testaments reveal the same promise, that God would send the Messiah, the chosen and anointed Savior, to redeem humanity.

Old Testament: Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given… and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

New Testament: Matthew 1:21-23 “She will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

These verses from the Old and New Testaments connect to reveal the same truth. The Messiah, the Savior, the Word who became flesh, and God manifested in the flesh is Jesus. He is the perfect lamb whose precious blood would wash away the curse of our sins, which is eternal death. Jesus is the fulfilment of the Old Testament prophecies and all of God's promises. No one else must be called "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace " but God alone, and His name is Jesus.

During His time on earth, Jesus openly revealed who He was. In John 10:30, He said, “I and the Father are one.” In John 14:9, He also said, “Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father.” Through His words and His life, Jesus made it clear that God is revealing Himself through Him. There is no more than one God. There is only one God. Deuteronomy 6:4 makes this clear: “The Lord is one.” But because of people’s pride and their corrupt expectations of what the Messiah should be, seeing Jesus in His humble state made it hard for them to believe, and they even accused Him of blasphemy.

Seeing and understanding humanity's vulnerability, Jesus, being fully God and fully human, chose to pursue us and to let people know that He is fair, He had to be fully human to understand the weaknesses of the flesh and to be able to demonstrate to the people how important it is to walk by faith and not by sight. Jesus' journey on earth was never easy and was also the worst. But Jesus did not fail to show the people that our faith in God gives us the courage to face death. He knew about His death, but He demonstrated. He endured the excruciating pain because in His thoughts, there was you and me.

And Jesus, being fully God, was raised from the dead and lives forever. His plan will always prevail, so will His promises.

Romans 10:9 "If you declare with your mouth that 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Jesus is the only saving name. As stated in Acts 4:12, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

1 John 2:15-16 (KJV), "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

God created this world and everything in it, from the wonders of nature to the animals that crawl, fly, and swim. He created humanity in His own image, the crown of His creation. Yet when humans allowed the enemy to take away the authority God had given them to rule over the earth, sin entered the world, and corruption followed.

In Genesis 2:16–17 (KJV) it says, “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” It had to happen. The enemy knew that God is true to His word, and he immediately tempted Adam and Eve, thinking he could destroy those whom God loves the most. How foolish of him not to understand that God’s love saves, and that His grace is greater than any mistake. God is omniscient. He knew this would happen and had already prepared a plan to redeem His people from this broken and decaying world.

In Genesis 3:15, God spoke to the serpent after Adam and Eve sinned: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” There would be conflict between the serpent’s seed and the woman’s seed. The serpent bruising the heel represents Satan striking at the Messiah, and the seed of the woman bruising the serpent’s head shows that the Messiah would ultimately defeat evil. This verse, called the Protoevangelium, is the first announcement of God’s plan to send a Savior.

In the old days, people offered the finest sacrifices to the Lord to be cleansed from sin. But no sacrifice could be perfect enough. God sent the only perfect Lamb, the Mediator, the Messiah. He is God revealed in the flesh, and His name is Jesus, the only name that saves. Jesus, who was without sin, took all our sins upon Himself. When His body died on the cross, our sins died with Him. Because He is God, He rose again, giving us new life and the promise that the Spirit of God would be with us as we walk the path toward His Kingdom. Once bound for hell and hopeless, we now have freedom, strength, and hope in every circumstance.

Every pure and beautiful thing in this world is from the Lord, and all that is impure comes from the world. God will destroy this world we now live in and has prepared a better, permanent home for us, free from sorrow and pain. We should not chase the temporary pleasures of this world. Instead, we are called to live in the freedom God has given us, not the freedom to sin, but the freedom to live upright and holy. We are free to resist temptation, to shine as salt and light in the world, and to live differently. Romans 12:2 reminds us, “And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

God hates sin but loves the sinner. This is the true picture of His grace, shown from the very beginning, even after the first humans sinned. His love, mercy, and faithfulness have no end, and His justice will never fade. Let this remind us not to take advantage of His goodness, for He will judge fairly and righteously. If we love the world, we will perish with it. But if we love God, and love Him by obeying His Word, we will be with Him, rejoicing evermore.

“Worthy of it all”

It was a beautiful reminder that He deserves more than just the bare minimum—He deserves our whole heart, our best efforts, and our deepest devotion. Just like the woman with the alabaster box, who poured out her costly perfume at Jesus’ feet, we are called to give God our all - our time, talents and hearts, because He is more than worthy!

Thank you Sis. Sakura Andoy for this powerful message! 🔥
