The Diocese of Tagum Social Action Ministry stands in solidarity with every humanitarian worker who chooses to serve, accompany, and walk with those most in need.

May we continue to be instruments of hope, healing, and compassionate action, especially for our brothers and sisters who are suffering.

Faith in Action: Serving Communities in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental

Following the Holy Mass at Santo Niño Jesus Parish, Nuing, Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, officiated by Fr. Felmar Binangbang, SDV, the Diocese of Tagum Social Action Ministry, together with the Hospitaller Sisters of Mercy, Amici di Teresa, and partners, facilitated the turnover of sacred vessels, vestments, and altar linens to Fr. Kim Cossid. The items were generously provided by the Mother Butler Mission Guilds of Davao and Tagum Chapters.

Tomorrow, the team will continue the humanitarian mission through the distribution of solar lights and sleeping kits to affected families in Barangay Patulang.

Religious Congregations Join Diocese of Tagum in Preparing Humanitarian Aid for Davao Occidental

Members of the Hospitaller Sisters of Mercy, the Amici di Teresa, and the Diocese of Tagum Social Action Ministry prepare Non-Food Items (NFIs)—including solar lights, mosquito nets, sleeping mats—and food packs for distribution to families in Barangay Patulang, Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, as part of the Diocese’s continuing humanitarian and pastoral outreach.

Today, let us thank God for all priests—past and present—who have baptized us, celebrated the Eucharist for us, forgiven our sins, blessed our families, accompanied us in times of sorrow, and led us closer to Christ.

May St. John Marie Vianney intercede for all priests, that they may always reflect the compassionate Heart of Jesus. And may every priest strive to be a living sign that Christ still walks among His people, loving them through the ministry of His Church.

Caritas Philippines – Diocese of Tagum Social Action Ministry, the humanitarian, development, and advocacy arm of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) in the Diocese of Tagum, is honored to receive a Plaque of Recognition from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) of Davao del Norte during the Culmination Program of the National Disaster Resilience Month 2026.

This recognition reflects the ministry’s steadfast commitment to disaster preparedness, humanitarian response, and resilience-building through close collaboration with government agencies, local communities, civil society organizations, and faith-based partners.
