𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠, “𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝, 𝐇𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝”?
Tito Bobot and Tita May’s sharing on how God called them to serve Him is a story filled with 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞.
𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉, because when they had just graduated from the Christian Life Program of the Couples for Christ community, they did not know that challenges and struggles awaited them. Despite this, they took on the challenges and changed their perspective: they turned every struggle they faced into an opportunity to serve the Lord even more.
𝑯𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚, because as Tito Bobot said, "𝐻𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑘𝑎𝑚𝑖 𝑘𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑡-𝑑𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑡 [𝑛𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑔𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑘𝑜𝑑 𝑆𝑎 𝐾𝑎𝑛𝑦𝑎] ...𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑜 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑡 𝑘𝑎𝑚𝑖 𝑛𝑔 𝐷𝑖𝑦𝑜𝑠." They shared their weaknesses and spoke of feeling unworthy, but God looked beyond all that. He turned their weaknesses into a powerful testament—showing a humble couple who did not think they were worthy to become servants, yet were chosen to lead. Through their leadership, they managed to guide many couples closer to God. While they initially thought 4 couples was the maximum they could handle in Pastoral Formation, that number grew to 52 individuals, or 26 couples.
Love, because throughout their years of service, it is the Lord’s love that sustains them, and their love for the Lord is what they share with their members. As Tita May said, "𝑇𝑖𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑎 𝑎𝑡 𝑡𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑡 𝑛𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑔𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑘𝑜𝑑 𝑠𝑎 𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑜𝑜𝑛." God has used their marriage to bless others and help them feel His love.
Tito Bobot and Tita May may not have felt qualified from the start, but God truly qualified them to work in His vineyard.
