Happy Birthday, Tere! ๐
We thank God, the source of all good things, for the blessing of you.
We want to honor you for the way you live your life in a way that reflects His goodness and faithfulness. There is a quiet consistency in you that inspires us. It is anchored in the way you keep choosing Him daily, in both the big, overwhelming and the ordinary, hidden moments. All the things you do: your work, your service, your way of relating to others flow from that. You carry your crosses with humility and surrender. You persevere in prayer, serve selflessly, and teach Godโs way of love through the way you live each day. Through different seasons, through hills and valleys, you remain rooted.
Thank you for giving yourself so freely to all of us. There is a readiness in your heart, always disposed, always open to say yes, whether in obedience or in service. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us, in music, in teaching about the sacraments, and in leading youth conferences and retreats so others may also know more about Godโs love. Even in your busy schedule, you still choose people. A shared meal, a short walk, or simply being there when it matters most, you make time for it. Thereโs a way you make people feel that they're cared for. You remember things about people, the small details that matter to them. You stay with them in a gentle and personal way, patient with their journey and present as they grow. You see others for who they are in Godโs eyes, as His beloved.
We honor you for your devotion to God that runs deep and touches every part of your life. We see it in how you serve in the archdiocese and in the community, simply because you love Him. We see it in how you care for your family with faithfulness and tenderness. And we see it in how you continue to seek Him, still wanting to know Him more and to understand His love more deeply. In both joyful and challenging times, your life always points back to His faithfulness.
We pray that this year, you continue to be strengthened in all these ways. As you keep giving of yourself, may you also come to recognize more clearly the ways God shows His love to you, especially through the people closest to you: your family and your friends. And in the midst of all you pour out, may you also learn to receive with peace, finding rest as one of the ways He gently reminds you that you are cared for.
