𝐺𝑜𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑙
ʟᴜᴋᴇ 2:22-40

When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses,
Mary and Joseph took Jesus up to Jerusalem
to present him to the Lord,
just as it is written in the law of the Lord,
Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord,
and to offer the sacrifice of
a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons,
in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord.

Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon.
This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel,
and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Christ of the Lord.
He came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him,
he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying:

“Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in the sight of all the peoples: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.”

The child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him; and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother,
“Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel,
and to be a sign that will be contradicted
-and you yourself a sword will pierce-
so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
There was also a prophetess, Anna,
the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher.
She was advanced in years, having lived seven years with her husband after her marriage, and then as a widow until she was eighty-four.
She never left the temple, but worshiped night and day with fasting and prayer.
And coming forward at that very time, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem.

When they had fulfilled all the prescriptions
of the law of the Lord,
they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.
The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom;
and the favor of God was upon him.

The Bible Quiz Bee as initiated by the Biblical Apostolate of Sto. Niño de Taguig Parish was succesfully conducted last January 24, 2026.

To culminate the National Bible Month celebration in Sto. Niño de Taguig Parish, the bible apostles initiated a Bible Quiz Bee. This activity was conducted in lieu of the parish spiritual formation for the month of January.

It was held on January 24, 2026 (Saturday) at 7:30pm and was participated by 23 parish organizations including the parish office staff.

On that day, after the 6pm anticipated Holy Mass, the Bible Quiz Bee began with an energizing animation led by the Our Lady of Fatima Chapel Council and participated by all the attendees. An invocation followed, led by the Apostleship of Prayer Coordinator.

As organizers of the said event, each of the SNDTP Biblical Apostolate member served as follows: bible quiz master, emcee, watchers, score tabulators, media, ingress and egress.

Now, here we go... the winners of the 2026 Bible Quiz Bee!

*Champion/1ˢᵗ Place: PWPN-AP (Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network - Apostleship of Prayer)

*2ⁿᵈ Place: LCM (Lectors & Commentators Ministry)

*3ʳᵈ Place: SNCCR (Sto. Niño Catholic Charismatic Renewal)

The winners received cash prizes of Three Thousand Pesos, Two Thousand Pesos, and One Thousand Pesos, respectively; plus 1 Bible for each participant of the winning organization.

Noong panahong iyon, lumapit kay Hesus ang mga alagad at nagtanong, "Sino po ang pinakadakila sa kaharian ng langit?" Tinawag ni Hesus ang isang bata, pinatayo sa harapan nila, at sinabi, "Tandaan ninyo ito: kapag hindi kayo nagbago at tumulad sa mga bata, hinding hindi kayo mabibilang sa mga pinaghaharian ng Diyos. This activity began on the 1ˢᵗ Sunday of January and it went on until the 2ⁿᵈ Sunday on January 11.

Every before each mass in the morning, a Bible Trivia is being read by a member of SNDTP BA and a question or two is being asked to the parishioners/churchgoers-- anything about the Bible.

Winners who hit the correct answer are gleaming with joy as they receive their souvenir prize-- the Holy Bible!

Bilang paghahanda sa nalalapit na kapistahan ng Sto. Niño de Taguig Parish, kalakip ng paglalagak ng Sto. Niño sa bawat kawan sa ika-pito ng umaga ay ang Bible Study/Sharing na ang layunin ay mas mapalaganap at mapagnilayan ang Salita ng Diyos.
