Afternoon Worship Faith Journey Training
Colossians 2:1–7

“Receiving the Lord Jesus Christ prompts a new believer to a journey of faith ”

What a remarkable and engaging time as we had our Faith Journey training!
To receive the Lord Jesus Christ is the start of a life continually being built, strengthened, and established in Him. Faith is not meant to remain shallow; it is meant to grow roots.

As the passage teaches, we are called to be rooted and built up in Christ, grounded in truth, and overflowing with thanksgiving. Growth happens when we intentionally walk in Him, day by day.

The Christian life is a journey. There will be seasons of learning, stretching, and even uncertainty, but the foundation remains Christ Himself. The more we know Him, the more our faith becomes firm, steady, and unshaken.

Thank you, Preacher Kevin Elpedes, for allowing the Lord to use you in guiding us through this training and fellowship. May we continue walking in Christ, growing deeper in our faith journey with Him.
For the glory of His grace! ✨

Discipleship is not just believing in Jesus. It is following Him.

A true disciple does not remain where they are. They move when He calls, surrender when He leads, and live with a purpose beyond themselves. Following Christ means leaving behind what once defined us and allowing Him to shape our lives completely. It is a daily decision to walk with Him, not just to agree with Him.

Jesus made it clear that those who follow Him are not only changed, but also sent. Discipleship is active. It calls us to reach others, to reflect His life, and to carry His truth wherever we go.

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19 KJV

To follow Jesus is to be transformed and to take part in His mission. May we not settle for being mere hearers or observers, but true disciples who walk closely with Him and lead others to Him.

“What do you currently have? Where do you currently stand?”

The message intensified our understanding of what it means to lead others to Christ. God calls us to begin with what we have, to use what He has already placed in our hands (Acts 18:1–3).

Not every conversation may start with Jesus, but when our lives reflect Him, every conversation can lead to Jesus. It begins with humility, where we open doors for God to move. It may seem small, but in God’s work, consistency leads to lasting growth. We are helping establish lives that are anchored in Christ alone.

Thank you, KuyaPas Dannes Serrano for preaching the beauty of being both a disciple and a discipler for Christ.

For the glory of His grace, we engage, we establish, and we point others to the only firm foundation, Jesus.

“Peace comes from God and His Holy Word, not from the world.”

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” — John 14:1

True shalom means completeness, safety, and contentment in the Lord. It cannot be found in money or in temporary, ungodly things.

The more we listen to God, the more our faith, hope, and love grow, and real peace begins to fill our hearts. There is peace with God and the peace of God, and both are found in Jesus Christ.

So do not panic, and do not let the stresses or troubles of this world overwhelm you. Instead, let Jesus and the peace He provides fill your heart and flow through your life.

Surrender all your worries to Him. Walk by faith (Hebrews 11:1), trust Him (Romans 8:28), remain faithful, and let Jesus be the Rock of your life. Though life may be difficult, continue to give thanks to God, for in Him, we will always have victory through Jesus, our Savior, forever. 🙏✨

“He did not ask us to understand everything first, He asked us to follow. “

Jesus Christ is our Master, and the call to follow Him is all about knowing Him more, having a personal relationship with Him, and becoming His disciple through consistent obedience, full surrender, and a heart devoted to Him.

Jesus Himself showed that He is the loving Son of God, and that He and the Father are one (John 10:30). In Him, we have eternal hope, for He is the risen Lord who conquered death so that we might be saved.

Jesus engaged people with compassion, and He equips those who are willing to deny themselves and follow Him daily. In Matthew 4:19, Jesus said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men,” and the disciples followed Him, leaving everything behind. We are called to fully trust and obey the Lord.
If we truly love God, we will place Him at the center of our lives and seek to do everything that pleases Him.

When we open our hearts to Jesus, He teaches us everything we need to know.

Jesus only needs a “yes” from you, will you follow Him?

Sometimes, the greatest miracles begin with simple obedience.

The servants were not asked to understand, explain, or question. They were simply asked to follow. With no assurance of what would happen next, they obeyed the words of Jesus. And in that quiet, unquestioning obedience, they became witnesses to His first miracle.

What seemed ordinary became extraordinary, not because of their ability, but because of their willingness to do exactly what He said. Their obedience positioned them to see the power of Christ revealed.

“His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” John 2:5 KJV
May we learn to follow Jesus with the same heart. Not needing full clarity, but choosing full obedience. For when we simply do what He says, we will see Him work in ways only He can.

The Word of God calls us beyond listening into obedience. It is not enough to claim we follow Christ if our lives do not reflect Him.

When we hear but do not obey, we deceive ourselves and drift away from the very truth meant to guide us. A life surrendered to God is a life that intentionally follows, walks in His will, and shines for His glory.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22 KJV

To be a doer of the Word is to let it shape how we think, speak, and live. We do not live by our own strength, but by every Word that comes from God. As we obey Him daily, our lives become a testimony of His truth, reflecting Christ in all that we do.

The miracle was not just water turned into wine. It was obedience that led to transformation.

At the wedding in Cana, Jesus revealed more than His power. He showed that faith responds with trust and obedience. Mary pointed the servants to Him with full confidence, and they followed His word without question. The miracle did not begin with the water changing, but with hearts willing to obey.
When they acted in faith, what was ordinary became extraordinary. In the same way, when we trust Christ and follow His Word, He takes what is empty, broken, or undeserving and turns it into something that reflects His glory.

“His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”
John 2:5 KJV

May we have the same heart to trust and obey. For when we surrender to His word, He brings transformation that only His
power can accomplish.

With grateful hearts, we came together to honor not only the milestones reached, but more importantly, the faith that sustained every step of the journey. Through every challenge, every late night, and every moment of perseverance, God has been faithful.

This moment stands as a testimony that success is not by our own strength, but by His grace working in us.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

As we move forward into new seasons, may we continue to trust His leading, serve with humility, and use everyblessing for His glory.

His suffering became the doorway to our victory.

Christ did not suffer for His own sins, but for ours. The Just took the place of the unjust, bearing the weight we could never carry, enduring the pain we deserved, all to bring us back to God. Every wound He bore was love in action, reaching for us even in our unworthiness.

Because of His vicarious suffering, sin no longer has the final say. What once held us captive has been broken, and through Him, we are given new life, living hope, and true victory. His cross was not defeat, it was redemption. His death was not the end, it was the beginning of our freedom.

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God…” 1 Peter 3:18 KJV

May we never take lightly the price He paid. Let us live in the victory He secured, holding on to the Savior who suffered for us, rose again, and now leads us into a life of grace and purpose.
