AD HOMINEM, attack the one who speaks,
Not what is said, where logic seeks.
AD POPULUM the crowd you please,
“Most believe it, so it must be!”
AD BACULUM the threat you bring,
Force or fear to make them cling.
AD IGNORANTIAM, “Not disproved, so it stands,”
Or “not yet proved, so out of hands”;
False paths confuse where truth should shine;
Test every claim, and reason’s line.
