Through the poster, the definition of identity is done in relation to Christ. By using the cross in the poster, it is clear that Jesus is the source of identity. The hands that are stretched to the cross show Godโs grace as he calls you to follow him. Amidst temptations in the world, Godโs love gives one the chance to renew identity, and this identity will be founded in grace and forgiveness rather than in mistakes.
The use of hearts is meant to emphasize the importance of loving God completely, while the presence of a dove symbolizes peace, hope, and the Holy Spirit, which guides one in performing actions that honor God. The other objects present in the poster represent the rest of the world and all the difficulties involved in it. Thus, even in todayโs digital age, identity should remain centered on Christ.
Indeed, according to 1 John 5:3, โFor this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.โ Love for God is shown through obedience, whereas sin renunciation is important for being Godโs children.
In terms of the theme Connected & Called, the goal is to have connection with Christ, identify one's God-given identity, and answer the calling from God.
