MCGI RECEIVES RECOGNITION FROM NCSC REGION V FOR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF SENIOR CITIZENS' WELFARE
On July 31, 2026, the Members Church of God International (MCGI) received a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Region V during its 7th anniversary celebration held in Legazpi City, Albay.
Accepted on behalf of the Church by Camarines Sur Provincial Servant Brother Marlon Igana, the award recognizes MCGIโs invaluable support and outstanding contributions to the successful implementation of NCSC Region Vโs programs and initiatives.
Emphasizing the vital role of collaboration, NCSC Region V Regional Director Atty. Ma. Clarissa Lavena A. Bombase-Pacamarra shared in her address:
"For seven years, the National Commission of Senior Citizens has stood as a testament to what we can achieve when government, communities, and our partners work with one purposeโthat is, service to our senior Bicolanos. Together, we have given our senior citizens not only assistance, not only pensions, but hope, dignity, and the recognition they truly deserve."
The collaborative relationship between MCGI and NCSC Region V has grown through numerous regional initiatives since 2025. Key joint endeavors include providing operational support during the Inaugural Ceremony and 1st Cash Gift Distribution for the Expanded Centenarian Act (ECA) in Sorsogon City in February 2025, supporting the launch of the 1st Senior Citizens Community Center in Camarines Norte in July 2025, performing at NCSCโs 6th anniversary celebration in Albay through the MCGI Music Department in August 2025, and joining the Elderly Filipino Week Culminating Activity in Sorsogon City in October 2025.
Beyond these events, MCGI has consistently extended aid to senior citizens across the region through feeding programs, complimentary haircuts, wellness massages, and other community services.
As MCGI Overall Servant Kuya Daniel Razon continually reminds the congregation, caring for the elderly and extending compassion to others is a duty deeply rooted in loveโhonoring them as pillars of society who deserve utmost care and respect.
During the event, NCSC Region V also honored partner government agencies, private hospitals, and civic organizations for their shared commitment to prioritizing the needs and welfare of older persons.
To God be the highest praise and all the glory forever!
