MAKE PLANS, BUT ACKNOWLEDGE THE WILL OF GOD
Ptr. Yolando Gulfan Yray | Sunday Service 08.31.26
Making plans is good, but we must always remember that God is the One who directs our steps. We can make plans for tomorrow, but we should never forget to surrender those plans to Him.
1. When Making Plans, Pray First
Before making decisions or planning for the future, seek God first through prayer. Ask Him for wisdom, guidance, and discernment. Donโt just ask God to bless your plansโask Him if your plans are aligned with His will.
โCommit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.โ
โ Proverbs 16:3
2. Be Humble โ Do Not Boast About Tomorrow
We may have plans for tomorrow, but tomorrow is not guaranteed. We should not act as though we are in complete control of what will happen.
Instead of saying, โThis is definitely what I will do,โ we can say, โIf the Lord wills, I will do this.โ
โBoast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.โ
โ Proverbs 27:1
3. Trust in the Lord With All Your Heart
Sometimes God may change our plans. Sometimes He may close a door we wanted open or lead us somewhere we did not expect.
Even when we don't understand, we can trust Him.
โTrust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.โ
โ Proverbs 3:5
REMEMBER:
Plan โ but pray.
Dream โ but surrender.
Work โ but trust God.
We make plans, but ultimately, God's will is greater than our plans.
