The Legion of Mary is an Association of Catholic ,with the sanction of the Church and under the powerful leadership of Mary Immaculate ,Mediatrix of all Graces The first enrollment of the Legionaries of Mary took place at Myra House,Francis Street ,Dublin,Ireland at 8pm.On September 7,1921 which was the eve of the feast of Our Lady's Birth. The organization was for a time known as "Association of
our lady of Mercy "
Rev.Fr.Manuel Garcia ,together with the help of Sis Joaquin Lucas and Sis Pacita Santos,the Legion of Mary was brought to the Philippines on July 21,1940 at Hospicio de San Jose,Manila. In 1979 ,the Legion of Mary was organized in Signal Village ,Taguig by one of the early settlers in the Village, thru Bro Juanito Publico for Novaliches,Quezon City. The first Praesidium was Immaculada Conception (Senior) and Queen of Angels (Junior) .This with the approval of the late Rev.Fr.Moises Rebustillo ,a chaplain priest of St.Anthony of Padua Chapel under Military Vicar if Ft.Bonifacio and later became Sto. St.Anthony Padua Chapel Spiritual Directors
