Title: God's Promises Tested by Time
Text: Psalms 44
Theme: How are the promises of God tested by time?

1. Tested through the report of the past: The Personal manifestations of God.
(v. 1-3)

2. Tested by the report of the present: The Reversal of the manifestations of God.
(v. 44:9-11, 17)

Report on the resolution: The manifestations of God's power is still the only hope for His people. (v. 22-26)

- If God is really slumbering there is no other means to rescue the people but to make Him "awake." (rouse, rise up).
- The end of every lament the author finally goes back to the unchanging truth, that God is there and he alone can be the source of answer to their prayers.
- Let us ground our trust in His unchanging character and His promises.

Text: Titus 1:1-3

Title: God's promises are TRUSTWORTHY in Character

Theme: Three characteristics of God's promises that make them TRUSTWORTHY

Summary:

In Titus 1:2, we see three characteristics of God's promises that make them trustworthy. They are:

1.) God's promises are rooted in His TRUTHFUL character.

2.) God's promises revealed in His TIMELESS direction.

3.) God's promises are realized in TRUST and hope of eternal life.

So what should we do?
1.) RELY on His character.

2.) RESPOND to His direction.

3.) REST in hope while trusting God.

CONCLUSION:
In Titus 1:1-3, we are reminded that God's promises are reliable and worthy of our trust because even when we don't see any signs yet,
God remains faithful in fulfilling them. His direction is always sure from the beginning and His promise of eternal life will never fail until we see Him face-to-face.
