In his homily, Msgr. Linao emphasized the importance of becoming aware of and acknowledging our own sins and shortcomings as a necessary step toward genuine healing and transformation. Reflecting on the life and conversion of Saint Augustine, he reminded the faithful that “healing and transformation begin with the realization that you have your own shortcomings.”

He further encouraged the devotees to live out this realization through three concrete steps: “Pag-amgo sa imong pagkamasalaypon; dawata ang imong pagkamasalaypon; pagkonkreto sa imong lakang.” To recognize our faults, to accept them with humility, and to take concrete steps toward change is to open ourselves to God’s grace and the possibility of becoming renewed in Him.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the 6th Fiesta of San Agustin Quasi-Parish. With grateful hearts, we thank God for the countless blessings, grace, and faith that have brought our parish community together through the years.

As we celebrate this special occasion, may the life and example of St. Augustine inspire us to deepen our faith, serve one another with love, and continue to seek God in all things.

May this fiesta be a beautiful celebration of faith, unity, gratitude, and devotion. May our community continue to grow stronger in love and service to God and His people.

August 23, 2026 | As we continue our novena in honor of St. Augustine, may this seventh novena mass remind us to remain steadfast in our faith and trust in God’s grace. May his life inspire us to seek wisdom, live with humility, and faithfully follow God’s call in our daily lives.

May we continue to prepare our hearts for the feast of our beloved patron by deepening our prayer, strengthening our love for others, and serving with a willing and faithful heart. May St. Augustine guide us closer to God and inspire us to become instruments of His love and peace.

August 23, 2026 | As we continue our novena in honor of St. Augustine, we are truly blessed and grateful to witness the Installation of 𝙍𝙚𝙫. 𝙁𝙧. 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙖 as the newly assigned priest of San Agustin Quasi Parish–Sumo-Sumo, Tago. We give thanks to 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗥𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗕. 𝗗𝗮𝗲𝗹, 𝗗.𝗗., 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 of Tandag, for officially assigning Fr. Ramon Magana to our community. May his ministry bring us closer to God and strengthen our faith, unity, and devotion.

We are also grateful for the presence of 𝙍𝙚𝙫. 𝙁𝙧. 𝙀𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝙅𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚 𝘿𝙪𝙚ñ𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙖as we celebrate this meaningful occasion with our parish community. May St. Augustine guide and intercede for our new parish priest as he begins his ministry among us. May his life remind us to seek God with a sincere heart, trust in His plans, and remain faithful even through life’s challenges.

May we continue to grow in love, humility, and service as we prepare for the feast of St. Augustine. Let us carry the lessons of our faith beyond the church and share God’s love through our words, actions, and service to others.
