Welcome to Saint Isidore the Farmer Parish – Tagbilaran City!

We joyfully welcome Seminarian Paul Vincent Basallo to our parish community for his Summer Apostolate 2026. May this time of service and formation be filled with God’s grace as he shares his gifts, strengthens his vocation, and journeys with our parishioners in faith and love.

As he begins this mission among us, we entrust him to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Saint Isidore the Farmer, our beloved patron. Like Saint Isidore—who lived a humble life of prayer, hard work, and deep trust in God—may Seminarian Paul find holiness in daily service and draw closer to Christ through the people he serves.

May his presence inspire our community to grow in faith, simplicity, and devotion, following the example of Saint Isidore and his steadfast witness to God’s providence.

Let us keep Sem. Paul Vincent in our prayers, that his time in our parish may be fruitful, joyful, and richly blessed.

Servants:

This is a calling ✨

We stand with the Pope đź’“
Let us pause for a while and pray for world peace 🙏

I AM A CATHOLIC, AND I STAND WITH POPE LEO XIV. I STAND IN PRAYER FOR PEACE.

At a time when Donald Trump publicly attacked the Holy Father—calling him “weak” and “terrible”—we are reminded that the voice of the Church has never been about pleasing political powers. It has always been about proclaiming truth, even when that truth is uncomfortable to those in authority.

When the Pope speaks about peace, he is not speaking from a place of weakness, but from the heart of the Gospel. In a world shaken by conflict, war, and division, choosing dialogue over destruction is not cowardice—it is courage. Refusing to be drawn into political hostility is not silence—it is wisdom.

He was not chosen because of nationality or ideology, but because the Holy Spirit called him to shepherd the Church in a time like this. And as he continues to call for peace amid rising global tensions, his message stands in stark contrast to voices that fuel division and aggression.

As Catholics, our response is not to echo insults, but to remain rooted in faith. We stand not in anger, but in prayer. Not in hatred, but in hope.

Because in the end, the Church does not belong to politics—it belongs to Christ. And no criticism can silence a message grounded in truth, love, and the unwavering call to peace.

Today is the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time. God the Father calls all people through the narrow gate of the Cross to the Paschal feast of new life. Let us give thanks to God, who gives us the power of the Holy Spirit to unite us with the sacrifice of His Son and to let us share in the true freedom and joy of His Kingdom.
