The Bible said that there is a time and a season for everything (ecclesiastes 3:1) but there were times that we're too impatient to wait for the season that we want.
If you are in a season of singleness, for instance, you keep looking forward for the season of marriage. And sometimes, you miss out the beauty of your season. The season of singleness is where you can give a lot of time to serve with God, to study, to have a career and to be with your parents, but if you spend all your time waiting for the next season, then maybe, you are not maximizing it. My point is, every season has a beauty on its own that we will not enjoy if we are too focused on the next season that will arrive.
Sadly, sometimes we try to jump to the season that we aren't suppose to have yet. And that's the reason why we can't fully appreciate it, because it's not yet a time for it.
He has made everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
For us to fully see the beauty of a season, it has to be on a right time.
Just like fruits, there are seasons for us to enjoy a certain fruit and if we get too early, we will be disappointed because it is not perfectly ripe yet or it hasn't even grown yet. But if we wait for the right time, that's where we can fully enjoy it.
So whatever season you are in right now, I pray that you'll see its beauty and learn from it. Maximize it. Enjoy it. Don't keep looking forward to the next season to the point that you are already missing out the purpose of your season at the moment. It's okay to pray for you future season but never be too focused on it that you forget to enjoy where are you right now.
God leads and works on us through seasons. Allow Him to work in you where you are right now.
