St. Philip Neri’s life shines like a gentle light, revealing that true greatness is found in humility rather than in worldly honor. With a joyful heart rooted deeply in Christ, he spread warmth and hope to everyone he encountered. He chose a life of simple service, teaching that love and kindness are far more precious than power or recognition. 💚

Above all, he treasured an intimate friendship with Christ, allowing that sacred bond to guide every word and action of his life. His beautiful example invites us to walk through life with cheerful hearts, humble spirits, and a love for God that overflows to others.

The Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, reminds us that Mary is a loving mother who continues to guide and pray for all believers. Her faith and obedience to God inspire us to trust Him more deeply in our daily lives. As members of the Church, we are called to remain united in faith, love, and service just as Mary remained close to Jesus and His disciples. This celebration also reminds us that we are never alone because Mary continually intercedes for us.

May we always seek her guidance as we grow closer to Christ and live as faithful members of the Church.

𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 🕊️

Pentecost is one of the most important celebrations in the Church because it commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. It is often called the “birthday of the Church” because the Apostles were transformed from fearful followers into courageous witnesses who proclaimed the Gospel to all nations.

As we prepare for this great feast, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit continues to guide, strengthen, and inspire us in our daily lives. Even in moments of doubt and weakness, God’s Spirit gives us the courage to remain faithful and share His love with others. Pentecost is also a beautiful opportunity to pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit such as wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord so that we may grow closer to God.

May this coming Pentecost renew our hearts and fill us once again with the love and presence of the Holy Spirit.

It marks the completion of His earthly mission and the beginning of the Church.

Through this, we are given hope in His promises for us.
May we always trust in His constant intercession. 🙏✨

We proudly honor not only the College Graduates, Senior High School Graduates, and Junior High School Completers, but also all the hardworking youth ministers of the Parish Youth Ministry of St. Joseph Cathedral Shrine-Parish who have faithfully given their best throughout the academic year.

Through sleepless nights, countless sacrifices, academic challenges, and unwavering service to both school and ministry, you have shown remarkable strength, dedication, and faith in God. Your achievements, whether big or small, are a testament to your perseverance and to the values you continue to uphold as young people committed to excellence, service, and discipleship.

As you celebrate this meaningful milestone, may you always remember that your journey is guided by God’s grace, and that every effort you offered with sincerity has inspired your fellow youth and the entire parish community.

The Rites of Flores de Mayo will begin on May 2, 2026 at The Tagbilaran Cathedral.

Please refer to the schedule below for guidance. Everyone is encouraged to bring flowers to offer to Our Lady of Lourdes and to observe the prescribed attire.

We warmly encourage all Lourdesians, young children, families, and parishioners to join this beautiful Marian devotion. Come and be part of this meaningful tradition as we offer our prayers, flowers, and love to our Blessed Mother. Your presence will surely add joy and grace to this special celebration of faith and community.
