Just a few hours ago, the April Taizé prayer took place in our chapel. We are grateful for the opportunity to host this kind of prayer and veneration for the youth of Cogon.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 & 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟 - 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗸 𝟰, 𝗖𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁, 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆

Today, in partnership with Sr. Sto. Niño Chapel, the Purok 4 officers, and the Barangay Cogon Council, a successful fire safety training and drill was conducted, led by the Tagbilaran City Fire Station.

The training included a lecture on fire prevention and proper practices during a fire, such as the use of fire extinguishers and proper carrying techniques. After the lecture, a short simulation was conducted where an actual fire was presented and successfully extinguished. Proper procedures were also demonstrated, including headcounting, rescuing an injured person, and applying first aid.

Our heartfelt thanks to the 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙪 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙖𝙜𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣 for leading the training and drill and for sharing their expertise and knowledge with the participants. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Sr. Sto. Niño Chapel officers, headed by 𝙈𝙧. 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙡; the Purok 4 officers, led by President 𝘼𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡 𝙑𝙖ñ𝙤; and the Barangay Council of Cogon, headed by Barangay Captain 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙗𝙞𝙣, together with Barangay Kagawad 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙩 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨, for their full support. Most especially, we thank all the active and enthusiastic participants who made the Community Fire Safety Training and Drill a success.
