|SCA @ 86|
Hey!π It's the time of the year again - our beloved SCA is turning 86 fruitful years and through those years, SCA has given meaning to the lives of the young. We are about to celebrate the birth of our dear SCA, hence it is right to go back to the principles that embodied the movement and have become the basis of the movement's works and mission.
SCAns all over the country are known to be called as servant leaders who are continuously serving the community and His people. Student Catholic Action looks at Jesus Christ as a model of leadership, so SCAns can better and more appropriately take the lead. SCA reflected on the life of Jesus Christ and has come up with the 7C's of SCA Leadership.
Let us be reminded of the first C today, our brothers and sisters: CHRIST-CENTEREDNESS.
We at SCA are continuously striving to make Jesus the focus of our lives. We are described as a group of students that aspire to build a community of evangelized and evangelizing followers of Christ. We think that as servant leaders, we should model ourselves after Christ's example and gospel ideals in order to raise a generation of Christ-centered young people. Because we always think that God is in control of everything, we practice having a strong faith in God rather than in ourselves. As the movement's motto says, "To restore all things in Christ." Jesus Christ should and will always be at the center of everything we do.
