HOLY SATURDAY EVENING PRAYER

O Lord,
as this day of silence draws to a close,
we remember the stillness of the tomb
and the waiting of the world for Your light.

In the quiet, strengthen our faith.
In the darkness, renew our hope.
Help us trust in Your promises
even when we cannot yet see the dawn.

As we await the joy of the resurrection,
fill our hearts with peace and expectation.
May Your light soon overcome every shadow
and bring new life to all creation.

We ask this in faith and hope. Amen.

EVENING PRAYER

Heavenly Father,
on this sacred evening of Good Friday,
we come before You in quiet reflection and gratitude.

We remember the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ,
who gave His life out of love for us.
Help us to understand the depth of that love,
and to carry it in our hearts each day.

Lord, forgive us for our sins,
renew our spirits,
and guide us to walk in humility, compassion, and truth.

We lift up to You our brothers and sisters in Christ in the war-torn Middle East—
those living in fear, in loss, and in uncertainty.
Be their refuge and strength,
their comfort in suffering,
and their hope in the midst of darkness.
Protect them, provide for them,
and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

As night falls, grant us peace in our minds,
rest in our bodies, and hope in our souls.

May the light of Your grace shine even in the darkness,
and may we rise with renewed faith and purpose.

In Your holy name we pray, Amen.

MAUNDY THURSDAY PRAYER

Almighty God,
We give you thanks for the gift of your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, who, on the night before he suffered,
took bread and wine, gave thanks to you, broke the bread, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
“Take, eat: this is my Body, which is given for you;
Do this in remembrance of me.”
Likewise, after supper, he took the cup, saying,
“This cup is the new Covenant in my Blood;
Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

Grant that we who share this meal may daily show your love in our lives,
following his example of humble service,
until we feast with him in your kingdom. Amen.
