As the Academic Year 2026β2027 officially begins for the Configuration Stage, the Divine Word Seminary Tagaytay (DWST) and the Divine Word Institute of Mission Studies (DWIMS) held the Mass of the Holy Spirit and Academic Convocation at the Holy Spirit Chapel. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Michael G. Layugan, SVD, PhD, SThD, President and Provincial Superior of the SVD Central Province.
Following the Mass of the Holy Spirit was the Actus Academicus, during which Rev. Fr. Antonio Gilberto Marqueses, SVD, DMiss., delivered an Excursus on the Metaphor of God Incarnate. His presentation focused on John Hickβs argument concerning the Incarnation of Christ and the counter-arguments of St. Thomas Aquinas.
At present, six Affiliate Members of the Mission Society of the Philippines Seminary are pursuing their theological studies at the Divine Word Seminary Tagaytay. As they begin another academic year, they continue to deepen their theological formation in preparation for their future mission and ministry in the Church.
