The Reformed Catholic Church is an independent catholic denomination with historical ties to Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Anglican and Old Catholic Churches. However, due to differences in theology and policy the Reformed Catholic Church is not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. The Church belongs to the Worker-Priest Movement as its clergy do not receive salaries for their clerical duties. T
he Church is a grassroots movement that embraces the micro-church vision of intimate communities. The Reformed Catholic Church was founded in the year 2000 by the Most Reverend Robert Allmen, OP, a former Roman Catholic. Bishop Allmen resigned from the Church in the year 2004. Archbishop Phillip Zimmerman, RSJ, became the 2nd Presiding Bishop and the Metropolitan. Today Archbishop Marcis Heckman, RSJ, of Ohio, USA, is the Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Catholic Church, and he oversees the United States, Canada, Central and South America. His Grace is also Apostolic Administrator for the following Countries: Italy, France, Kosovo, Albania, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia and South Africa. Bishop Jose Israel de la Trinidad, ROCS is the Diocesan Bishop of Our Lady of Guadalupe Diocese which includes the following USA states and territories: Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Caribbean, Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. His Grace is also the Apostolic Nuncio for Mexico, Central and South America and the Apostolic Administrator for Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Timor Leste and Brunei. Nieto was ordained to the priesthood in Toledo, Ohio by Archbishop Marcis Heckman, RSJ. In January 2012, The Most Reverend Jose Israel de la Trinidad, ROCD, has appointed Reverend Father Jerome Ma. Jimenez Nieto to start his clerical mission in the Philippines to offer all the sacraments to the people he will serve. For the period of three years, the Reformed Catholic Church in the Philippines is now serving a large number of its members from Cavite and Bulacan. On February 5, 2015 Rev. Nieto is consecrated to the episcopacy by the Archbishop Marcis Heckman, RSJ, Most Rev. Jose Israel de la Trinidad, ROCD, Most Rev. Admir Cleve and Most Rev. John Bell, OSB.
