Had lunch yesterday in Pasay City with Dr. Corrie De Boer and Ruth Callanta.

Dr. De Boer, my former professor at Asian Theological Seminary, previously served as Co-Founder of Mission Ministries Philippines, a grassroots organization that equips local churches to develop holistic, transformational ministries among the poorest communities. She is now involved with Heritage Ministries United in Texas, an Anabaptist community committed to land stewardship, strong communal life, and family discipleship.

Ma’am Callanta is the founder of Center for Community Transformation (CCT), a ministry widely known for organic church planting that flows out of empowering the poor.

Both leaders share a compelling vision: nurturing alternative, kingdom-centered communities that embody God’s shalom and bring holistic transformation in the Philippines.

The Ten Commandments

IV. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day ; wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

The Ten Commandments

II. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

Joyce Creus)

Maraming salamat po sa pagtuturo at pagbabahagi, Rev. Dr. Zuriel Bernardino! Pagpalain pa po kayo ng ating Panginoon! 🙌🏼

Q67. By what means did God nurture the people of Israel, before the advent of Christ?

A67. He gave them the law of Moses; especially the ten commandments on Mount Sinai, written upon two tables of stone.
