Sometimes, we think we need to keep moving, keep striving, and keep figuring everything out.
But Psalm 23 reminds us that the Shepherd knows when we need to lie down.
There is daily rest in daily trust. Rest is not lazinessโit is an act of faith. We can let go because our Shepherd is near.
Even in the desert, the Shepherd provides more than enough. The environment may look barren, but the Shepherd is not limited by the environment. We may not know where tomorrowโs provision will come from, but we know who our Provider is.
And there is invitation in the Shepherdโs pace. God is rarely in a hurry. The Shepherd leads at a walking pace because transformation rarely happens in a hurry. Sometimes, the invitation is simply: Slow down. Walk with Me.
So maybe you donโt need to outrun life.
Maybe you just need to stay near the Shepherd.
